Here's a short summary if you haven't seen it yet, yes it's a kids movie but appropriate for adults as well.
Minions Kevin, Stewart, and Bob are off to a big journey to find a new boss. Eventually after some minor trouble on the way, they find Scarlet Overkill, the world's first woman super villain. They are given a task and finally succeed but that isn't enough for scarlet. She has a plan to terminate the minions and take over the world.
Since the origin of mankind, the minions are seeking out the most despicable master to serve. In 1968, Kevin, Stuart and Bob head to New York and Florida expecting to find a new boss while the rest of his tribe waits for them in Antarctica. They search for the evil Scarlet Overkill that travels to England with them and assigns the trio of minions to steal the Crown of the Queen. However things do not go how planned.
