It was announced earlier today when they said they had disk failure, that some posts might be lost
We can rebuild them, we have the blockchain technology
Besides most of us probably regret a good bit of everything we type on here, so we get a do-over this once

Forum was restored from a daily backup. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932315.0 for technical details. Apparently a pair of SSD died of old age, and/or might be the RAID controller lost its marbles. I have personally seen more RAID arrays die because of the RAID controller (corrupting data, not reporting errors, etc.), than because of multiple disk failures, so that would not be surprising. |
