The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Never been a fan of altcoins either as the majority were by design for pump and dumps - Doge was a prime example of that and it was just very well marketed/manipulated (Google "Doge God.pdf" and you'll see what i mean) Only currencies that interested me were ones running their own algorithm or otherwise bought value to the table with some unique features.

NEM fits that bill rather well, seeing as it got plenty of initial stakeholders - most being from the veteran member rank here on BTT. I think that speaks for itself.

1) Monero
2) Bitcoin
3) Namecoin

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

BTC

PPC - PoS is gonna get hyped to hell and back what with the arms race that is mining with PoW

DGC (digitalcoin) - personal favorite, always well maintained and hardly hyped. could get some attention with that sexy name.

MYR - Myriadcoin is the first to seriously improve on PoW structure, plus its reward schedule makes it hard to pump n dump, very ethical.

that's it really :p

I would agree NEM is the sleeping giant and maybe the one alt coin that finally gets it right.

I'm also looking at BTC of course.  (the guy that started it all)

Maidsafe/Storj (neither haven't messed themselves up yet beyond repair)

LTC/Doge even though I don't own any, they are still moving despite taking a serious pounding.  Most altcoins don't get back up.
