Hi there;

I am new to bitcoin mining, but pretty good with technology as a whole.  As a Father/Son project, I recently purchased a couple of USB LiteCoin Scrypt miners (I bought them here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/free-shipping-hot-selling-litecoin-USB-miner-220kH-s-scrypt-miner-Litcoin-miner-send-out-in/2019121334.html ).  These have some drivers on them - they came with the Miner and are all Windows based (or so they seem) - but I am strictly a Mac / Pi user.

I found the site that had alternative drivers for Mac at this site : https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx   And they look identical in form to the Window Drivers I received on the miner - so I think these Mac versions should work.

So, I need some help in determining how to connect these Miners to a Mac.  I am so close, I can taste it. Huh

I use BFGMINER and I am pretty sure the drivers have been loaded correctly, but no matter what I try, I cannot see the devices - nor can BFGMINER run with them attached.

If you've got a play-by-play of what I should do -I warmly welcome your help!!
I am happy to abandon the Mac idea if you've got a viable route using a Pi !!!

Can someone help me?
Many thanks in advance.....

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I asked the seller to provide source of the cgminer executable they provide with the stick, but got nothing than recommendation to use supplied programs. Seems that without source there is no way of using them on other platforms. I succeded using them with CGwatcher and supplied Cgminer instead their windows wrap-up, only on Windows. You can try contacting manufacturer asking for source, because they are obliged publishing source code for Cgminer variant.

Hi
I build a custom driver wich allow to run lketc usb miner with other scrypt miner
(originaly this driver is a zeus clone, but if you use lketc and zeus at same time one of miner not works)

you can download source code here : https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-lketc

and for windows user: https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-lketc/releases/download/cgminer-dragon-win32/cgminer-lketc-win32.zip
