Satoshidice seems the oldest to me but there might be other sites who were in business earlier than it and got closed.

SwC opened in 2011 while SD opened in 2012, and SwC is still the most popular bitcoin poker site nowadays.

Sounds about right Seals with clubs came first then satoshidice stepped in with it's IPO on mpex before getting sold off at 2013 and becoming less prominent, also introduced the concept of blockchain spam and the trend towards off-chain transactions for gambling sites.

When did USA make online gambling illegal?

Probably when BTC first became popular, gambling started to surface. And it hasn't looked back.

I think you are right, SwC opened in Aug 2011, Anonybet Dec 2011 and SC opened in April 2012.

I think online gambling was famous much before that .
Probably when pokerstars came out in 2000ish .  However the question with online gambling is the legality part. I don't think it is legal in all states yet.

I would have expected sport betting sites to be the first ones to open, as its much easier to get it started. Probably due to all the API's coming up late it might have been delayed.
The lottery might still have been there before the gambling sites came up.
