Relaxed miner, what graphis card to buy next.

Hi. I'm a relaxed miner. I have this problem that my current graphics card just broke.
As I have nearly no knowledge of graphics cards and what to buy next i'm seeking your advice's.
My broken graphics card is a nvidia geforce 8800 gts pcie card. It mined ca. 20 Mh/s
I have no preferences towards nvidia or ati as so.
My current buget  allows me to spend 134,44 EUR on a graphics card. It should also be used to gaming.
Now my preferred miner application is cgminer so perhaps an ati graphics card would be the way to go.

My definition of relaxed miner. I let my pc mine when I'm not useing it.

As said, I have no idea of the current graphics cards and whats good and whats bad,
so what would you suggest.

CGminer has ZERO issues with "i want to mine while playing games at FULL fps asif im not mining"
With BattleField 3 running at about 40-60FPS, My GPU's only take about 60-78% load, ANNOYING.....
Since i want More frames, or Higher graphics...
 But alas i could not get it to be any more optimal than what i have.
I run my duo 6870's with Intensity 2, And with BattleField 3 Running, I get 40-58fps,
 100% GPU load, And 121mh/sec per core

ATI GFX cards are the only ones that you should consider using for mining. They have around 15-20x more hashrate than nvidia cards.

Also, don't forget block reward is halving later this year as well, which will halve your mining revenue.

You'll have to buy it used, and given that you could probably afford a 5850. If you can buy with BTC, you can find lots of cheap 5850s in marketplace-->goods-->computer hardware on this forum. Heck, you might even be able to afford a 5870 if you find a good deal. Prices have dropped quite a bit since ASICs are supposedly just a few months away. Lots of people liquidating GPUs.

It is an ati graphics card - the point is that no retailer will be selling new 5830s now. If you must buy new from a retailer, then you will have to go with the ati 6xxx or 7xxx series cards. 5xxx series are all sold out, discontinued, and only available used.

Most video cards in the used market these days are from miners (at least radeon 5800 series). I would advise against it if you want something to work for years to come and don't want to have to replace your card in a year. I would get anything in the 7000 series you can afford even a 7770 radeon will play most games perfectly at 1080p. The more expensive cards are mostly just needed for ultra high resolution multi monitor gaming. Then just have someone help you setup cgminer with dynamic intensity and your good to go

If he's only looking to mine off one card, then density is your biggest concern. Obv 6 5830s are going to be killer, but you can't fit all 6 inside a standard ATX case, nor is it likely you can even run all 6 on one MotherBoard.

For a single card with high density, you're looking at 6990, 5970, and 7970. All of those are above your budget, tho, so that's also an important factor.

My best bet for your budget range? Try and get a 5870, 6950, or 7850.

There's nothing wrong with old tech or used if it has the right price/performance ratio.

for dedicated mining, yes.

if the OP is just mining part time, Im thinking get a card that could (later) feel at home in a HTPC, game rig, be low power @ idle, such like that. 5xxxx stuff may rock at mining for the price, but compared to current gen, they use power like gangbusters.   

as for used, I worry about the fan condition more than anything. would suck if you need to replace the HSF with aftermarket a month after buying it.

Just make sure to look at the powersupply requirements of ANY card you buy & check to see if your powersupply in your PC has enough wattage to run it.

You say you had a 8800 GTS,so it may need at most 100-150 watts,total for PC 400-500 watts installed powersupply.This is what you MAY have in your PC.

As for cards for gaming/mining,135 Euros is = to $165,correct??
