Is the company trustable with pre-ordering one of those things because I want to get into scrypt mining and I would like to start off with that but it seems to good to be true.

You have it right there.  They have been showing a rendering for months.  Pushed back on delivery.

I have been absent a week so I could have missed something, but last I know they have not shown a single prototype, parts, chips, etc that you would expect with a product that should ship soon.

I"m 50/50 on it. I have an order in, and have been communicating with the owner quite a bit. I'm doubtful/hopeful.

What is giving the 50 positive?  I just don't see any positive unfortunately.   And I wish I am wrong as I want a new scrypt miner.

1. People here have received refunds when requested
2. I actually get responses in regard to delays.

Completely not trustable.  They have been promising the Astro since before October.  Delays - Delays - Delays.  Only one user on here seems to be getting supposed correspondence from them - which is questionable.

Everything was due in October 2014, then end of December 2014 -- now they are saying mid February 2015.  Then Chinese New Year comes -- a perfect excuse to push into March 2014.

Obviously I can't say this is a scam - but nothing adds up.  Nothing at all.  There are no videos, no pictures, just the same renderings from Mid 2014.  Funny thing is that the specs get better and better -- price gets lower and lower with every delay.  RED FLAG!

I would avoid!!

It is weird - you are the ONLY cheerleader for this company.  The ONLY one.

I dont consider myself a cheerleader, just trying to be hopeful and not see money disappear.

You might want to read this entire thread that was locked my LifeForcePools.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=864057.0

and check out the shop's owner trust rating:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=383458

I guess you are protected, but be sure to pay with a real Credit Card (not debit) and don't pay using a Paypal account.  You can just pay with a credit card using Paypal's outer form.  Finally be sure to dispute (if you don't get it) within 30 days (or whatever your credit card's protection might be).

Anyone heard anything (tracking number or email) from Hashra (Simon) lately?

I've sent my monthly email and have heard nothing back. I placed my order in August. No hardware or refund yet. No communication since October.

There's a couple semi-hopeful replies here:

Ok - so Chinese New Year is over - Spring Break is probably not celebrated in China -- and I've seen talk of shipments last week (didn't happen) and now shipments early this week (already Monday in China).

Any one have any concrete news?  Where's the Raspberry Pi image?  That was supposed to be released.

This just goes on and on.  I'd drop it and call it a scam - but the Lifeforcepools owner seems very confident that these units are still going to happen.  Perhaps he has no choice to believe since maybe he paid Simon already for his sales (which would be very stressful).

I'd love for this product to become a reality - but not seeing it.  And now with the Hashra site down for a couple weeks - definitely not good.  Any news from anyone?

So now the chatter indicates they are being shipped next week (3/30 to 4/3).

LOL -- someone should start a wager site on this…

As someone who almost got stuck with a pre-order to vaporware (terrahash).  I feel bad for everyone on the Hashra stuff.

But if you look i think they just keep putting it off little by little.  I would not hold your breath on it being next week.
