Seriously?  WTF is going on?  This makes no sense.
My sentiment since 6.5 ...

Either someone with deep pockets found bitcoin or it's a bubble that may well go even higher before crashing.

It would take really only one rich guy in the world to double BTC value.

last month I emailed a wealthy entrepreneur that I used to work for with a Bitcoin pitch (not the same person as the one with the foundation from another thread who I haven't pitched to as yet because of the lack of worthwhile practical charity projects), I doubt it but it would be very cool if it was him &/or his cronies behind this price surge, I haven't heard anything back & wouldn't expect to if that was the case but there would be a big appreciation I'm sure for the tip later on down the line if he had run with it, hope that it's in coins Grin

I made a pitch yesterday to a wealth old guy. While we talked it went from 7.5 to 8.2. It spike to 9.X.  I'm pretty sure I could get him to sink a million or two. He wastes more money that that every year on toys alone.

Midpoint of the current price bar (07/17) is about 8.45 - it is interesting we've found some momentary equilibrium here after the wild ranges from last night.

Not sure about Kim Dotcom - didn't think he had access to his funds. As for other 'manipulators' I'd have to say that was a sorry-assed manipulation. If I had a really vast bankroll, I sure wouldn't tip my hand by purging the orderbook of all offers.

Here's why bitcoin price increases are just getting started:

The infographic is part of a larger presentation on the potential of bitcoin which I made.

Here's why bitcoin price increases are just getting started:

Even if just the black market switches to BTC, that's still nearly half a million dollars per BTC.
