10 BTC TOTAL LOTTO, Provably fair, Zero house edge, Draw Friday 13th Sept. at 22:00 UTC (15:00 LA, 18:00 NY, 23:00 UK, 00:00 CET)

An offering, or way of giving back, some of the profits that I was lucky enough to gain on Just-Dice recently & since.

I'm making a provably fair lotto on top of https://just-dice.com to be drawn live there on 'Friday the 13th' Sept at 22:00 UTC (15:00 LA, 18:00 NY, 23:00 UK, 00:00 CET), there will be 100 tickets at 0.1 BTC each numbered from 00 to 99, ticket sales will stop at 5 minutes before the draw is due, if less than 100 sell then l commit to buying up the remaining ones, to mark the cut off time I will send a token 1 BTC to the lotto, any entries received after that will be returned, I will make the total up to exactly 10 BTC soon after.

I will be on JD chat with user ID: 77777 & at the draw time I will randomize the seed a few times, do a few small random bets & then make one JD bet of 3 BTC (so it will also show up in the chat), the resulting first 2 digits of the JD lucky number will be the winning ticket for a 5 BTC first prize, the second 2 digits will be the winning ticket for a 3 BTC second prize & the final 2 digits will be the winning ticket for a 2 BTC third prize, very simple & provably fair.

There is zero house edge so all 10 BTC will be shared by the 3 winning tickets, they will be numbered in the order that they are received on blockchain.info/address/17777777d8aBUWuLggZg9A6BYTDuHJXZhe - please send only from addresses that your winnings can be sent back to, (if you send from multiple addresses in one tx then just the first one will be used), to claim your prize if you win either contact me in JD chat live or post here, no time limit.

Send any multiple of 0.1 BTC to 17777777d8aBUWuLggZg9A6BYTDuHJXZhe & to avoid confusion any lesser or extra amounts will be counted as donations, (ie 0.333 BTC gets 3 tickets & donates 0.033 BTC or 0.01 BTC gets no tickets & has just donated 0.01 BTC to a charity, see last para).

I will list the ticket holder's numbers & BTC addresses here in post #2, if you would like your name added as well then please to include it in the transaction message (easy to add with https://blockchain.info/wallet) or post your tx here, any suggestions are welcome, this is not connected with JD itself but I ran it by dooglus first & he's fine with me doing this (hopefully it will be good publicity & bring new investors/players to the site), I shall ask Deb to lock withdrawals for one of my JD accounts with over 10 BTC in it for two weeks or until after the jackpot is seen to have been fairly been payed out.

In the rare case of Internet/computer failure the draw will be made asap after 22:00 UTC if it's just rebooting or similar needed, but if it's something that takes longer than 10 minutes to fix, like very severe thunderstorms in my locale, then it will be postponed until the same time of the following day but this is most unlikely & should have advance notice in any case.

I realize that 0.01 BTC & 1,000 tickets using the first, the middle overlapping as 3rd, 4th, 5th say & last 3 digits of the LN for the 3 prizes may be more user friendly/popular but am starting in the simplest way & also so as not to clash with others offering the lower entry level lottos, if more than a few tickets to this 0.1 BTC lotto sell then I imagine repeating it once per month perhaps depending on the charity donations.

Why am I doing this? To make the best & simplest provably fair lotto with 100% of entry money going to the winning players, I invest in JD so it is in my interests if this attracts some extra bets there, also for fun - I enjoy playing proven honest lotteries especially at zero house rake! Mostly though in order to support a charity fund that I set up, if you would like to check it out:

https://sites.google.com/site/hannahlogo/home

This site also serves as a intro guide if anyone asks you for some info about virtual currencies, especially the Home, DIY & Litecoin info pages, any lotto player or winner who makes a donation here will be listed on the site's donor page with my sincere thanks plus the good karma that comes from selflessly helping both Bitcoin & others, pledges welcome.

If anyone would like any specific ticket number, or series of numbers starting from a specific number, then please to add that in a message to the tx along with a minimum of 0.01 BTC donation to the fund & so long as the number/s have not been taken already they will be allocated to you, if taken then you will need to re-choose. If you want to pick some non-consecutive numbers then it's a 0.01 BTC min donation for each one chosen.

My decisions will be binding & will be made as fairly as possible to all players with common sense in the case of any unforeseen events, by participating you agree to accept all the above terms & conditions.

Many thanks & good luck!

Tickets @ 0.10 BTC to 17777777d8aBUWuLggZg9A6BYTDuHJXZhe

Yep, sry it's a bit steep for many unless you go in for a group buy ticket with others, but I didn't want to pinch Kyle's players.

00:25:57 (50298) <KingofSports> OTOH if u are here, please consider offering 3 winners
00:26:04 (50298) <KingofSports> 5, 3 and 2 BTC for your drawing.
00:26:08 (50298) <KingofSports> it would be more fun that way.

01:12:50 (77777) <Otoh> KOS just saw your suggestion, 5, 3 & 2 is good, I'll stick with 10 this first time & ask for feedback in the thread re that, I expect to try it next time anyway & see which does better, many thanks.
01:16:39 (77777) <Otoh> also all 3 winners could be picked simultaniously by the same Lucky Number, 1st two, 2nd two & last 2 digits, neat.

OK, I agree & as no tickets have yet been bought as yet I will change the OP to reflect this, brb...

done, changed by popular demand.

01:42:27 (11) <Banker> possible for one ticket to win all 3 prizes?
01:55:05 (4085) <dronf> 01:42:27 (11) <Banker> possible for one ticket to win all 3 prizes? < yes if the luckynumber is something like 50.50.50
02:16:31 (77777) <Otoh> interesting yep & 1 player could win all 3 prizes, if they bought the corresponding numbers on different tickets too, ie tickets 00, 01 & 02 then the lucky number 00.01.02 in any order of pairs came up

Oopps, I didn't spot that Boelens sent 0.02 instead of 0.2, as this was an obvious typo please to send the balance of 0.18, many thanks.

PMed:

Hi Boelens,

I just noticed that you sent 0.02 BTC instead of 0.2, please to send the balance of 0.18 BTC or if you prefer I will refund your 0.02 BTC & cancel the tickets, many thanks & sorry for not spotting this sooner.

Otoh

Edit: he replied & is sending the balance.

Edit, Edit: he decided to cancel & donate the 0.02 BTC instead, see post #18.

Hey Otoh. Assuming you buy up a large portion of the remaining tickets and win on them.. What is your plan then?

Me winning my own lotto last week looked fucking awful! I do not wish it on you.. Tongue
*edit: It's not that I don't want otoh to win.. It's just the scammer blowback one receives is awful. -_-

Kyle hi, I'm not worried about winning any of the tickets especially if the majority go unsold as I have no way of spoofing the winning lucky numbers, if I could do that then I could just bet on JD for max wins, also I let players choose their own ticket numbers for a 0.01 BTC extra donation & won't get any myself until the pre-draw selling stops at 5 mins before the draw - not that this changes much except that the players get to choose which tickets I'm left to cover so any physics out there can rule out any potential psychic picking by myself.

Entering you now for ticket #03, many thanks & good luck dood!

Hopefully ppl will see that it's fair & impossible for me to cheat, ideally I'd like as many tickets or preferably all to sell so that others like yourself will be the prize winners.

Well the OP is very clear about how this lotto will work & that there's no way that I can cheat it should be obvious, so I assume anyone who enters it agrees with this, as some ticket buyers will be anonymous one can never prove not to have entered oneself but as the whole point here is that I commit to covering the full 10 BTC prize moneys by buying any remaining unsold tickets & ppl know this upfront I don't expect to get any flack whatever the outcome, apart of course from expected joshing & trolling if say one ticket or something remained unsold & that won.

If anyone wants then I can post some of my rep here which includes provably giving away many, many more coins than are at play here, see PRIZES in my sig for some of these ie 20 BTC & up to 410 LTC in two free to enter competitions, plus donations to both the Bitcointalk forum 10 BTC, Litecoins devs 1 BTC & 3 LTC, a Litecoin essay writing contest 250 LTC & Sean's outpost Florida homeless charity 50 LTC, not to mention making it rain a little on Just-Dice 2.33 BTC & 0.091 BTC recently.

Donation of 1.23 BTC to the British Museum's display Casascius 1 bitcoin 2012 11 04

Circle of trust games/experiments 1 BTC passed on & 100 BTC passed on.

Newbies free contests for 0.55555 BTC & 0.77777 BTC recently also.

When will 1 BTC = $1,000 prize contest, donated 1 BTC for prize & holding approx 6 BTC worth of entries. All now paid out to the winner.

eBay: 100% positive rep, over 12 years & > 1,300 transactions.

Boelens has decided to cancel his 2 tickets & has generously donated his typo 0.02 BTC to the Hannah charity fund, I am offering the buyer of ticket #02 the chance to either swap his ticket for #00 or #01 &/or to buy either or both tickets as well if he wishes, I've given him 24 hours to decide & then I shall offer the same chance to MRKYLE depending on what ticket holder #2 decides to do. I have sent him a small tx with a message attached to check this thread post so hopefully he will see this.

So for the next 48 24 hours ticket sales will continue from #04 onwards, but then will then revert to the lowest unsold numbers available from #00 onwards.

Edit: Didn't hear from the holder of ticket #02 so these first two have now been offered to MRKYLE, just chatted with him & he want to keep his original ticket so the next tickets sold will be #00, #01, then from #04 onwards.
