Whenever I search up anything on google using the site: bitcointalk.org thing I get returned plain text results does anyone else have this problem?

for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0;wap2

Does this url show just plain text for you?

Remove the ";wap2" from the end of the URL, it will show the page normally then. So here's the link for that thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

Code: (Example)
Original URL: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0;wap2
New/modified URL: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

Use this search instead:

https://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=016660200577587308545%3Aesf40ml9aag&ie=UTF-8t&sa=Google+search#gsc.tab=0&gsc.sort=

Its a Google Custom Search for bitcointalk.org. It doesn't have the ;wap2 in the url of the search results.

The WAP2 links should be blocked from indexing by search engines. Hasn't been done. Even the Google result to find my post below returned the wap2 page.

theymos can make a robots.txt with these lines added:

User-agent: *
...(other stuff)
Disallow: /index.php?action=printpage
Disallow:  /index.php?wap2

I know we can remove the ;wap2 , but it gets annoying when you need to do it everytime.

Yep. I don't see any reason not to make this small change.

Well, with the new forum software coming real soon now...

Oh wait, this was over a year ago and it's still doing it.
