Today Hashnest is pleased to announce the launch of the Hashnest Antminer S5 market. Hashnest users will now be able to purchase GH/s contracts for our latest generation of miner. All mining contracts purchased through us are pointed to AntPool, and payout according to PPLNS, which experiences variance based on pool luck. Hashnest guarantees 100% uptime, as users will be compensated by Hashnest for any instances of unplanned downtime.

The usual terms and conditions apply. It will take 72 hours after the purchase of GH/s contracts for the units to get set up and hashing away in your account. When the contract is terminated, you may redeem full miners and have them shipped to you (see below for details).

Important Info:
  • S5 Unit Price: To be announced shortlyUS$428.39.
  • Maintenance Fee: US$0.097 / KWh
  • Conversion Period: 72 hours upon receipt of full payment
  • Downtime: 0% downtime. Bitmain guarantees 100% uptime and will incur any losses related to unexpected downtime.
  • Payout: PPLNS mining on AntPool
  • Termination: Contracts are terminated when the maintenance fee is equal to the mining revenue for a period of ten days in a row.
  • Hardware Redemption: a) When the contract is terminated, you may choose to have the physical hardware shipped to yourself; b) 1155 GH/s = one S5 machine; c) Users must bear shipping and handling cost of having machines sent to them; d) User is purchasing used hardware, the quality and hashrate of miners delivered to users cannot be guaranteed.

Thanks for the great news.

IIRC stock efficiency is about 0.5W/GHS for the S5 but it gets better for lower hash rates. So what will happen when the maintenance fee is nearing the mining revenue, will you lower the voltage of the S5 and reduce the contracts accordingly? This would be a nice option, but it could be difficult to do in practice on Hashnest with the trading and all...

good question, id like to know this as well, prior because the price of btc is pretty much declining day by day, sooner or later we might hit some times where maintenance fees = mining revenue or even worse

I think if they come to 100% maintenance fees they might lower the hash rate for everyone to keep it below that. But short of that its probably ALOT of work so doubt they will do it if its 90%.

As for me I can not wait for the S5 to come out on the marketplace hopefully for a reasonable price

@BITMAIN, please add AntS5 Hash Type in HASHNEST > Finance > Hash

It's currently missing in the list.
Yay it's been added now Wink Thanks!

Thats rubbish pricing: as purchase price per 1 ghs it is 0.0016 BTC you can buy for half of this price with this level of fees..

Getting to fees it is nice to annpunce 0.00184 per ghs but if one looks closer it is dare expensive:

0.001184 per 1 gs makes 1.184 USD per ths

so 1 unit cost is 1.155 x 1.184 = 1.37 USD a day burning 12.26 kW

so one pays 0.112 USD per kW and that is expensive....

fees for this unit should not be higher than for other units Smiley thats the sticking point not mentioning high purchase price which makes Bitmain making bucks....

why not set them up on some more realistic per kW rate as 0.096 USD?
