Agreed. Hayek was an Austrian economist and believed in laissez-faire capitalism who lived a long life and was quite the hero of many that adhere to libertarian and ancap stripes in modern times. He was often described as a defender of classical liberalism which is modern libertarianism but the former became nonsense as Wilson changed the meaning of what a democrat/liberal was and finalized by Roosevelt later on.

I agree with your sentiment.  However, why do you use the word "privatization" when pointing out Hayek would have loved to see the introduction and spread of the first global public currencies?
