Private photos of Taylor Swift for Bitcoin. The keyword here is 'Bitcoin'. Well.. the hackers claimed to have Taylor Swift private photos after hacking into her Twitter and Instagram account. Not sure if it were real or fake.. but.. saw this on The Verge. What do you think? Private photos for Bitcoin? What are the hacker trying to do? Will they attack Bitcointalk Twitter next? - they attacked Malaysia Airline twitter yesterday. Let discuss!

Could someone explain, how you hack a Twitter account? I mean, you either hack Twitter(and would have access to all accounts or at least, the ones with bad passwords) or you try something on the user-site e.g. keylogger. Is there a third way?

You could bruteforce the account, but Twitter hasn't learned its lesson if it thinks Taylor Swift forgot her password and tried to login 9123891723 times...

The hack could be real, it's not that hard to do if you have the time and skills. I wonder if she has some nude pics there like Jennifer Lawrence

Yeah. Me too, it make Bitcoin reputation lower. In TV shows it always mention Bitcoin in a bad way. Hopefully, there will be a show which help Bitcoin. Also, I dont think they have her private photos. If they have, someone would have bought from them by now.

Due to the fact that bitcoin is a virtual currency it makes it easier to launder and receive funds without physical contact. It's no longer a "put the money in the briefcase situation"...

Unfortunately sometimes it's as simple as them leaving the account logged in at a hotel or losing their phone... Other times it's malware-produced 'hacking'

It's quite easy for some one with photoshop experience to make certain pictures look like they are really from a certain celebrity.
And if they are real, then what.... lol, have you guys never seen naked girls?

Bruteforce w/ rainbow tables would do it. Also, it baffles me as to why someone would actually pay money for someones photos. I mean in all seriousness, I would prefer to pay nothing and watch/look at porn that is better and probably chicks that are more sexy then a celebrity's photo that is most likely photoshopped. I guess some folks have fetishes that they just can't control XD

Brute Force shouldn't work, since there should be a limit on login attempts. Do they really have such weak security?

Not happening, she has said on her official post that there is nothing. If you send coins you're probably losing them as this is pretty much a scam.
Would you say "Oh yea, there were like a 100, too bad it got leaked" ? Although I agree, its probably a scam for some coins.

Ha... to be honest, I don't care about Taylor Swift. I literally don't care at all, actually. So you can just go ahead and keep those pictures and I am going to keep my BTC. Actually I barely know how she even looks...

I don't use those social media platforms, but are you telling me you can upload files and just make them private? What the hell would be the point of having them on there at all?

We can have both. Soon the pics will leak, and we will have the pics and our BTC, because someone always pays for naked pics specially of famous girls, ALWAYS. Not that Taylor Swift is hot tho, she resembles an pale ironing table.
