And another bad news for bitcoin Your kidding me right ? You guys seem more uneducated then the people(ISIS) who are doing this shit to give HUMANS a bad name. Terror organization - ISIS - TALIBAN - AL-QAEDA - AFRICAN AND ASIAN GROUPS - YEMEN - have all been "dfund raising" in USD, EURO, GBP, AED, YEN, INR, RAY and many others. Probably the percentage of them doing it in other currencies is 99% to bitcoin (if true) is 1%. Use your head before even thinking of things like this, also do try to see the reality. All these so called Terror Organizations have been incubated in washington. There is actual proof to that but no proof to ISIS using Btc to raise funds. I swear sometimes peoples incompentency to understand reality surprises me. Duke.

Pretty sure Bitcoin makes it easier since they'll have the coins to track and any mixer that helps mix the coins will be forced into cooperation or get charges of aiding a terrorism group.
They both have pros and cons, but this just seems like they were fishing just to see if they could get any donations. Bitcoin certainly may make it easier for the casual person who doesn't know how to get money to terrorists and can be done pretty safely with bitcoin. Hopefully this doesn't become widespread, though.

Really! It's already hard to do most things with BTC in the US or anywhere in Europe, so I wonder what you could do with BTC in Syria or Irak where IS is.

It's sad to see stuff like this. Sure all publicity is good publicity but I hate to see Bitcoin mentioned with criminals so often.

One guy on a US website puts a Bitcoin address on a terrorist website and now somehow ISIS (the whole organization) is fundraising with bitcoins?
First of all, the address is open for anyone to trace.
The ISIS in Iraq actually get their funding by going into a city and stealing whatever they can by force.
The ISIS in Iraq is full of people that have no clue about technology and cannot even figure out how to flush a toilet (don't ask me how I know this).

It is a real convenience for criminals, since the transaction is anonymous and difficult to trace. The fact that there is no real good way to trace it might trigger many regulatory concerns, so that regulators might either strictly classify it as a digital asset trade-able on regulated exchanges, or ban it and drive it underground

Would be funny if Bitcoin keeps crashing and they lose a chunk of the value Its a non-story. They will need all available methods and Bitcoin happens to be one.

Hmm.. seem like more and more people are using Bitcoin in a bad way..ISIS is using bitcoin for recruitment and fundraising reported a an Israeli cyber intelligence analyst.. Read more here - http://rt.com/usa/227703-bitcoin-isis-us-fundraising/. Haaretz newspaper quoted an Israeli analyst who said he traced an ISIS funding website and “has uncovered concrete evidence that a terror cell, purporting to be related to the Islamic State – is soliciting for bitcoins as part of its fundraising efforts.” I guess that's bad news for: ★777Coin.com★ Fun BTC Casino! Thank you for pointing this out. I would never play in a casino with dirty isis bitcoins...

Thank you for pointing this out. I would never play in a casino with dirty isis bitcoins... Huh? Did I miss anything? Or did you misunderstood something? Isis sales the oil they have control on. Isis is using all the cash they stole in major banks. Why is bitcoin a target, and not oil or all that $$$ they are using to buy stuff to burn people alive and, now according to the UN, tools to make holes in the ground to bury children alive? They believe in the value of gold and silver, they do not consider any virtual anything compatible with their laws. Shouldn't gold bugs and silver bugs be under surveillance first instead of bitcoin? Maybe they already are...

This is something that shouldn't be in the news at all. It was never debatable that bitcoin network can/may be/will be used for (among other things) terrorist activity.
Like someone above already stated; Terrorists use USD also ! What are we doing regarding that fact?! Drug dealers, child smuglers, terrorists .. they all use USD daily, what do u expect to do about it? Ban fiat ?
It all comes down to fight against misuse of financial goods, and the first thing i think that will get shut down are services like bitmixer, that knowingly provide safe-heaven for shady activity, since bitcoin can't be shut down easily like libertyreserve was.
cheers

I have yet to see any evidence of this claim in this forum. IMO Its just another attempt by those who are afraid that the BTC and its community are cutting through both sides of the shit cake that Zionists and IS want to serve the world. BTC is neutral and transparent, a concept that neither of these sides can comprehend.

The guy, Abu Mustafa who allegedly posted a Bitcoin address on some ISIS forum was a prisoner in Abu Ghraib. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/12/abu-ghraib-remains-scar-on-u-s-war-efforts/So maybe the story should be that the US horrible treatment of Iraqi prisoners has caused them to join ISIS. Maybe the anti-Bitcoin reporters would like to report the anti-war story about how our attacks actually turn people into enemies.
