Nearly all coins are cheaper to buy than to mine. Especially the ones with big hashrate and difficulty (like BTC, LTC, DRK,...) unless you have free power.

yes buying the coin is better then mining when you have small budget,if you have big budget to setup big mining farm then you can try mining

Yep, this is true to me as well, its cheaper to buy than to rent a mining rig and mine your chosen coin, unless ofcourse you have free electricity . In any case you might try https://www.whattomine.com on sorting your chosen coins.

It's too much hassle to start mining and you'll probably be dissapointed with the results. I'd just try buy some cheap coins as they're pretty cheap currently anyway. If you want to try mine I'd pick a newer alt coin but personally I wouldn't bother with mining at all.
