Its clear that the price will go up after halving, but the real question is : will the price go down until halving.
Bitcoin is still manipulated in price, and until it reaches global recognition umong public, it will remain that way.
cheers

For me, I don't think the next halving will have much impact. I expect the other one after the next to have a bigger impact that will push the price higher.

yup me too, the halving will have an effect but still miners got to dump their mined coins to pay some of their operation costs.

thats what im saying, anything is possible, but the original question "will the price increase after halving" remains the same, it will.
take a look forward, like in 10 years, bitcoin will still be there, no doubt about it, what do u think the price will be then ?

People are expecting too much from the block halving.

It will go up for sure, but not as much as you guys would like to see.

My guess is max 50-100% increase at current rate a few months before the halving, and perhaps another 25% gain afterwards.

No idea. The BTC space is evolving so quickly that I think factors far beyond the halving will be defining what the price is up to. Its economy might look very different to how it appears now.

I will just say this. All speculation about the prices going over 1000$, are pure speculation and very less possible. If it was so, I am sure people would be hoarding bitcoins right now, for that 500% profit in less than 2 years.
I think the price would depends on wha the price was before halving. It would certainly increase, but hard to say by what amount.

I think that's a good point about the price depending on what it was before the halving. We don't know if the bottom's in yet and if it drops a lot more then the price after halving might be lower than it is now.

It's human psychology to be scared of hoarding when something's plunging. Those with balls of steel who take the big risks are the ones who make out like a bandit, or crash and burn.

No one gets rich buying at peaks and selling when it plummets but that's what an awful lot of people do. That follows a natural cycle of emotion which most find impossible to look beyond.

It'll be the same old story until BTC finally arrives at a decent-sized place in the global economy or it becomes a whimsical memory.

I predict the price will increase by about 15%, from $90 up to $103.5 at the time.

No. It won't be priced in in the same way as the last halving wasn't.

I think the reward halving should have a positive inpact on the BTC price but it really depends on what happens in the mean time.
Anoher exchange may get hacked or crash, anything could happen so even if we do see a 200% price increse just after the halving this may be a increse from base price of anything from a few dollard a coin to $2000 a coin
