Hi everyone Smiley

Every time I log into blockchain.info and click on one of my wallets I get a white page with this text:

"Maximum concurrent requests reached. Please try again shortly."

Is this just me?

Experiencing the same issue here , where I go to the link directly https://blockchain.info/ it works fine and without issues once I try to search for some adress that I need to see their balance  like https://blockchain.info/address/1AKNhiA89cDHTgwpyisRrxLcGZ7Xb9Pbv8 I get that error message , but it goes away if I refresh the page "a lot " , did they posted anything on their Twitter ?

I had the same error a few times in the past few days. They seems to be having more and more downtime lately. I think anyone should send some of their coins to another wallet in case Blockchain.info wallet is down and you need to send some coins.

This error is caused by a large amount of traffic, likely from a DDoS attack.

This is one of the many reasons I would encourage people to use a "real" wallet, such as Electrum, Bitcoin Core or Armory. For Android users I would recommend "Bitcoin Wallet" by Andreas Schildbach.

All of these wallets are not dependent on a centralized organization in order to work. They are also less likely to contain bugs than Javascript-based wallets such as blockchain.info and you are protected against many kinds of MITM attacks, which are becoming way to common.

...

I am happy with my Ledger Wallet Nano and my Trezor, I have been experimenting with them both over the past couple of weeks or so.  I still use my blockchain.info wallet for their SharedCoin mixing service and for small transactions.

But, I only keep a small amount of BTC at blockchain.info.

Saw that message pop up couple of times yesterday when I was trying to look up some transactions, maybe they were overloaded temporarily but if and when you're able to log-in, make sure to back-up your keys, so you can use your funds even if the site is unavailable.

I'm sure it's just server overload problem
Don't worry, they're already fixed the problem
