No because "Bitcoin Armory" is shutting it down too when its loading the database.

Think its a bad block ive downloaded, ive made a coin request and sent the coins over, there not showing up yet.

So my question is Will i lose the transaction if i start re-installing bitcoin core or delete the blocks?

If you delete the database ,the coins will be lost , just make a back-up and try again (re-install)
But i would recommend to let it sit for some more hours , sometime it takes time but it cover ups the bad block autmatically

Are you sure it has the full database?  One night seems pretty quick if you downloaded the whole thing.

Don't use laptop for mining. Overheats quickly, therefore shutting it down.

I think you got it all wrong, he downloaded a bitcoin wallet and tried to download the database.

Maybe just a hdd failure, as bitcoin core requires ~30G of your hdd space, and asks for a lot of disk IO.

Bitcoin core obliterates my computer's resources an my computer isn't precisely old. I dont get what kind of specs you need to run this smoothly.

It shouldnt take that much space on your hard drive... can you provide your specs on your computer?

i have a mac thats like 4 years old, running 3 ghz and some lame atx graphics card, 4gb, i3 processor.

Depends on type.  Let's say like a solid state usage is a lot more then typical optical drives.

It would have more to do with storage disk then other specs on recent laptops (last few years).

Bitcoin armory is pretty much the same as Bitcoin core. Any SPV wallet would be nearly as safe if installed on a online computer while taking less time to sync, if you are in a hurry, you can just import it on blockchain.info or any other SPV client.
