RockMinerOops just scammed me for ~280. His wallet address is 1PJwjpZU8juNe99AoqkKUhHfCp1b1AKXjy
I am curious to know how exactly you knew that was forum name. Did he actually confirm via PM or did he simply volunteer it via skype.

Additionally I do not see your skype name publicly therefore I would say the list of potential culprits would be limited to the people who had received your skype name from you

And no money.... He blocked me on Skype after confirming receipt.

Yeah. He's some random newbie around here.

Judging from his post history, he gambles, and his wife is involved with the legal system?

I literally offered you a legitimate deal with thread transparency and you accepted a send-first deal from some newbie who ripped you off.

Hold on....I have been trying to get you to add me on Skype all night, and I also added you 2 times, one was from Conneticut and the other from some other city....and you never accepted me.  I asked you to search me, nathanfund90 in Stevenspoint, and you never added me.  What the hell?

I'll do this for the $232 PayPal balance I offered you previously.

Well, not the entire 3.54, obviously.

1.0 BTC even. $232 PayPal (balance, mind you, not a card or bank transfer) for 1.0 BTC. LouReed is fine as escrow.

yea, I see that now, it is midway though the first page. IMO he clearly does not have very much experience in trading as he was so willing to send first.

Hmmm...somewhat suspicious that it just so happens that the person who scammed the OP was actually trying to add the OP on skype.

[2/2/15, 8:24:14 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: You are on bitcoin talk?
[2/2/15, 8:24:18 PM] Shane Bellone: Yes.
[2/2/15, 8:24:27 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Finally haha
[2/2/15, 8:24:37 PM] Shane Bellone: Sorry for the delay. It only lets me post every 360 seconds.
[2/2/15, 8:24:39 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Sorry not sure what was going on had to log out and back in.
[2/2/15, 8:24:54 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Yea thats why I offered this.  Newbie time restrictions suck.
[2/2/15, 8:25:01 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: So you want a wire transfer?
[2/2/15, 8:25:09 PM] Shane Bellone: So true. That would be preferred.
[2/2/15, 8:25:19 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: OK, what bank do you bank with?
[2/2/15, 8:25:22 PM] Shane Bellone: Chase
[2/2/15, 8:25:30 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Is it a US bank or out of country?
[2/2/15, 8:25:33 PM] Shane Bellone: US Bank
[2/2/15, 8:25:43 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Oh ok, you want wire, or chase quickpay?  I have chase also
[2/2/15, 8:25:50 PM] Shane Bellone: Either works for me.
[2/2/15, 8:25:54 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: I have a business Bank of America account also.
[2/2/15, 8:25:59 PM] Shane Bellone: Is quick pay free?
[2/2/15, 8:26:04 PM] Shane Bellone: I know wires are $25 each
[2/2/15, 8:26:12 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: For this amount, there might be a small fee but usually free yes
[2/2/15, 8:26:18 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: If there is its like a buck.
[2/2/15, 8:26:24 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: No big deal.
[2/2/15, 8:26:40 PM] Shane Bellone: Ok cool. So how do we do this safely for the both of us?
[2/2/15, 8:26:57 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Did you check my trust?
[2/2/15, 8:27:01 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: I sent the link.
[2/2/15, 8:27:20 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Also, my offer would be 1115.00 for 4.723, just as a heads up.
[2/2/15, 8:27:33 PM] Shane Bellone: Missed it. One sec
[2/2/15, 8:27:40 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: I can't do any more, thats a little under current price.
[2/2/15, 8:27:57 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile
[2/2/15, 8:28:22 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: I bought a 500 Amazon the opther day, he sent first, paid him rght away after, no issues, a little over 2 btc.
[2/2/15, 8:28:45 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Also I have a guy that sells me visa cards occasionally, he sends first.  Never an issue either.
[2/2/15, 8:29:11 PM] Shane Bellone: That a mount is fine with me. Had to break out a calculator (rofl)
[2/2/15, 8:29:15 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: You can always reach me here, or online also.  Also wanted to advise you not to take paypal, as scammers using that are abundant
[2/2/15, 8:29:32 PM] Shane Bellone: Yeah. I realize that. Especially from other newbies.
[2/2/15, 8:29:35 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Even people with lots of activity, usually PayPal are people that bought the accounts.
[2/2/15, 8:30:05 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: OK good.  Just want to make sure you are safe, whether you deal with me or not.  Hate seeing peolple scammed.  I am prosecuting a guy for ri[[ing me off for a BoA transfer./
[2/2/15, 8:30:18 PM] Shane Bellone: Ouch. Sad
[2/2/15, 8:30:20 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: My wife works for Eastern District of Mo
[2/2/15, 8:30:40 PM] Shane Bellone: Alright. So here's my proposal. You send me $1 to my Chase account so I can verify your identity. That way if you run off with 1,115 I can find you lol. Wink
[2/2/15, 8:30:57 PM] Shane Bellone: Or if it's possible we could break it down into 1 btc chunks.
[2/2/15, 8:30:58 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=924212.0
[2/2/15, 8:31:15 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Here is where I am hel;ping a few guys off bitcointalk prosecute him
[2/2/15, 8:31:51 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: After getting scammed, I will not send first, however, I will do you one better.
[2/2/15, 8:31:52 PM] Shane Bellone: That's rough.
[2/2/15, 8:32:02 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Allow me a sec, I will get you my license.
[2/2/15, 8:32:12 PM] Shane Bellone: That works for me.
[2/2/15, 8:32:22 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: And we can break down into smaller deals sure.  I am not against that at all.
[2/2/15, 8:32:28 PM] Shane Bellone: Perfect.
[2/2/15, 8:34:34 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb sent a file to this group:
DL scan.pdf
[2/2/15, 8:35:38 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: You can reach me by text anytime at 314-433-9845
[2/2/15, 8:36:19 PM] Shane Bellone: Alright. Do you have one minute to turn on camera so I can verify that is you?
[2/2/15, 8:38:23 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Sure, I look a mess and have not shaved, but no problem.  Pic is a little older but still looks close to me haha
[2/2/15, 8:38:33 PM] Shane Bellone: Sure. That's fine.
[2/2/15, 8:39:01 PM] Shane Bellone: Let me know when you're ready.
[2/2/15, 8:39:32 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: I dont have a mic, just a heads up
[2/2/15, 8:39:42 PM] Shane Bellone: That;s cool. It'll only take a moment.
[2/2/15, 8:39:45 PM] Shane Bellone: Better to be safe.
[2/2/15, 8:40:21 PM] Shane Bellone: Call  17 seconds
[2/2/15, 8:40:33 PM] Shane Bellone: Thanks.
[2/2/15, 8:40:37 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Did we disconnect?
[2/2/15, 8:41:01 PM] Shane Bellone: I hung up.
[2/2/15, 8:41:05 PM] Nathan Do Not Disturb: Ah ok.
[2/2/15, 8:41:08 PM] Shane Bellone: You kind of prove you're you.

@Lou Yes please. Will anyone buy 3.54 BTC with LOU as the middleman? Preferably a wire transfer?

I'll do this for the $232 PayPal balance I offered you previously.

Well, not the entire 3.54, obviously.

1.0 BTC even. $232 PayPal (balance, mind you, not a card or bank transfer) for 1.0 BTC. LouReed is fine as escrow.
Since the OP is clearly very new at trading on here, I would like to add that paypal transactions can be reversed up to ~6 months after they have taken place. Therefore escrow is really not going to protect the OP as you will have long received bitcoin from the OP by the time you have a chance to file a hack/chargeback report. Additionally there is a warning that your account might be hacked on your trust

I addressed that in my thread. I cannot prove my identity with a wallet address as I am not in control of the wallet address previously used on this account. It's just that simple. I'm not going to argue with anyone regarding that subject, nor will I argue the flaws of PayPal. Everyone knows the chargeback protocols.

The only thing I can do is keep trying to use my PayPal balance for some BTC. Right now, the price is below $250 and I'd like to use the PayPal balance I have to scoop up close to 1 BTC.

I can send the payment as a gift, payment for something invoiced (consultation, web development, anything the seller wants). That won't stop a chargeback due to a "compromised PayPal account", but it should prevent goods chargebacks. I have a balance, not a card transfer or bank transfer, so those chargebacks are out.

Again, I can't control PayPal policies. I'm just trying to do business with this PayPal balance. That's all.

Did you possibly get a screen shot of that guy's face? If so then you should post it. However there is a chance that he was just using a recorded video if it only lasted for 17 seconds.

It would probably be better if you used a less reversible payment method. You cannot control paypal's policies however you can use a safer way for the OP to receive funds

That's all.
It would probably be better if you used a less reversible payment method. You cannot control paypal's policies however you can use a safer way for the OP to receive funds

Don't get me wrong, if I had cash for WU I'd send it. It's about ease, really. Right this second I have a leftover PayPal balance. It's faster for me to buy BTC with it than it is to withdraw it to my bank.

The OP asked for PayPal when I listed off payment options. I was just proceeding from there.

And oh look. Negative Trust from TomatoCage! Sweet.

I'm selling 4.723 BTC for USD.

Need a quick trade. Smiley

Being in a big hurry was your first mistake. You might want to slow down and focus on safety?

You are clearly actively trying to sell your paypal balance. TomatoCage seems to think you are a purchased account with scam accusations against you. I would personally trust TomatoCage as he has a very good scamdar

The saddest part is that I offered him a quick trade, as I'm looking for the exact same thing. I can send the PayPal balance within seconds of him either sending me the coins or an escrow confirming being funded. Gah.

There should be some kind of ID protocols for those who opt for them that clear up cases of mistaken identity and trust.

I'm trying to unload my balance, sure. My choices are these:

Wait x days while my withdrawal limit clears.

Buy something I don't want off of newegg and sell it here.

Buy some bitcoins.

That's basically it. I'm trying to purchase BTC because it's faster than withdrawing funds, withdrawing that into cash, and sending it Western Union. I'm not sure what's unclear here.

Also, no one is disputing that this is a purchased account. I never said it wasn't. I damn sure don't have scam accusations on me - I just checked in the appropriate forum section.

Shane I would higly suggest you to do not trade with this guy apmapm12 , it doesn't matter if escrow will be used for the transaction there'r 98% of chance that you will recieve a chargeback. Try Maidak  just wait til someone trustwhorty who offer's no chargeback window to you. Please for you'r own saftly.
