I have been using Multibit for my Mac wallet 0.5.18 -
The last 2 weeks when I have gone to move BTC from it to Coinbase, it is sending them to other addresses.
I am down over 3BTC now, anyone else seeing this?
Also, is there a way to move a address from the wallet to somewhere else, as there are deposits being made to that address all the time.
Thanks in advance...

Can you post one of the Bitcoin addresses or txid's here? If you want to move some Bitcoin addresses to another wallet, you can export the private key for the address. This is not recommended though, it is better to tell everyone to send to a new address instead, you should really only do this if you absolutely need to. Here is how to export a private key: https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_exportingPrivateKeys.html

So if I understand correctly, you are saying you tried to send .54497BTC to an address, but it was actually sent to a different address? was this the entire balance of your wallet? I don't know if you can import private keys to coinbase, but I wouldn't recommend using coinbase at all. If you use coinbase they have full control over your bitcoins, they are essentially a bank and can freeze/close your account and they have done so to people who have used some services such as unlicensed gambling websites. Multibit is actually an OK client, though I would recommend electrum much more.

Is this your address that you want to export? https://blockchain.info/address/19xgxZvnVySLLPJNhYBzx3eQruWVg5GKNGIf so, you might want to throw it away and generate a fresh address. There are double spends reported from it and if you didn't do it then somebody may already have a copy of your private keys.

That double spending message can happen when someone tries to send money from a client that isn't fully synced.

Yes that is the address that seems to be hacked. I have a lot of systems that send to that, would be hard (not impossible) to change that on all the equipment. This has been going on now for a week or 2.
And yes, it takes the whole balance every time.

Ok, you need to figure out how you were hacked or it WILL happen again. Changing your Bitcoin address is NOT enough. See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=929882.0

ACtually, do check one more thing .In your multibit wallet, click on receive and see the list of receiving addresses at the bottom. Is one of them the receiving wallet ? Sometimes multibit sends the funds back to the other receviging addresses.

Thanks everyone for the help. No that address is not in the receiving list. I guess I will have to change that address as it is compromised. Checked w/Coinbase, almost got instant support - No they have no way of moving an address into there. Guess it doesnt matter though, as it is the address that is hacked.

Maybe it's not a bug but some sort of virus that's changing the sending address. I would suggest you firstly import your key to another wallet (cold wallet preferred) and move your funds, preferably on another machine, then either do a clean OS install before using that machine again.

Any chance you received one of these scam emails? Where or how did you download MultiBit. Are you absolutely, positively, unquestionably, one hundred percent, certainly, totally sure that you downloaded it from the original site?

That's weird , a lot of people are using Mutlibit and I'am one of them ..; and never had such a thing , always my transaction goes smooth. Are you sure that you aren't affected by some kind of malwares or something ? or maybe you downloaded the wrong wallet from a phising website and not the original one ~ Madness
