That stuff is timeless. I'm 15 and I loved watching them. Stayed up real late a few years ago to watch Forbidden Planet and it scared the crap outta me.

First time I heard about this movies now. When I look at the date I thought the movie is black and white.

The 50s movies were black and white. Many of them were worked over for color many years later. Lots of people prefer watching them in the original black and white.
