So here's the deal, I was going to buy into BTC-E Exchange with USD to transfer to BTC using OKPay or MoneyPolo since the share price of BTC is low on the BTC-E Exchange and the fee % for OKPay and MoneyPolo is 1%, but I just found out as a US resident I can't even open an account with OKPay or MoneyPolo and the other options to buy into BTC-E with USD are limited and at 3.5% - 5%.
So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions if there's a better way / exchange to buy into if I'm going to do trading in the BTC-E Exchange ?

i think you still can trade at btc-e but you have to use voucher code if you want to withdraw your money from btc-e and it not necessary to have okpay or moneypolo, but depends on who's buyer voucher code for example, if you want to withdraw your money from btc-e using voucher to paypal, your buyer must have paypal account to sent his money |

Right now as a US customer Coinbase is my best option. No trade fees currently.

Im using bitstamp and never had problems.
Once they hacked and the team fixed everything right.
Bit x is also very good.

There are lots of sites to exchange with.
I recommend the following:
-Localbitcoins
-paxful
-Coinbase
-Circle (iPhone app as well)
-Direct exchangers
Check locally, there are some places that have local exchangers who give bitcoins for cash.

The lack of Market Share option in Coinbase is pretty annoying sometimes. Would it be easy to arbitrate between exchanges in Bitstamp and Coinbase ? Kind of doesn't look like it would be worth it with Coinbase current fees, and expected trading fees at end of month. |

It always amazes me how people from the US seem to have the biggest problems with getting their hands on Bitcoins, or selling them, respectively. Usually the people located in the US have an advantage with everything on the Internet!

I just don't see how Bitstamp is beneficial to a US customer, as far as I can tell I can't buy directly into the exchange from my bank account, and there's no point in transferring to a lower BTC rate from an exchange like Coinbase which is priced higher |

People still keep on saying that BTC-E is shady, and the owner is anonymous, etc... Yet they haven't had any serious outages, thefts or anything. But I agree that Coinbase (+exchange), Bitstamp, or also Bitfinex seem safer.

plasma1010 Btc-e, Bitstamp and Bitfinex is all big exchanges and should be good choises, they have been around a long time and most likely will be around for a very long time in the future to. just check there fees and choose the one that has the best conditions for the option your going to use.
