AUCTION: My collection of rare Casascius Coins, and Bar. All individually sold off. Will ship in batch to save

shipping.

Ok, I've been away from the forums a long time. I've been out of the bitcoin game for some time, been trading here and there, and keeping up on

latest news. But haven't been active.

Anyway, I have a pile of Casascius coins, all from early 2012, I'm keeping a few for collectors sake, but I'm liquidating them as I need the cash.

I realize since I've been out of the community for a while, many may not know me. That said, because of my absence I will of course use the escrow

of the buyers choice (who is recognized in the community as a trusted escrow) for the transaction (at the buyers expense).

Anyway, onto the details of the auction:

This is a multi-item auction. In your bid, post one item per line, and the amount of your bid, like so:
25BTC Coin - BID 1@1BTC
1BTC Series1 - BID 4@0.5BTC
5BTC Coin - BID 2@0.2BTC

I will take the top bids working backwards to fulfill orders. (ie: I'll start with the highest bid of each item type, and fulfill it, and work

backwards until either all items are awarded, or we're out of bidders).

The auction will end Feb 8th, 2015 at 10PM Eastern Time.

Items will be shipped via Canada Post to the recipients, shipping will be either 0.15BTC for "Small Packet Air" which includes no tracking or

0.25BTC for ExpressPost with tracking. This is flat rate shipping per bidder, regardless of the number of coins, type of coins, or your location.

(for simplicity)

All items will be shipped by Feb 15th at the absolute latest, but I will endeavour to ship earlier than that if at all possible.

All payments will be expected within 48h of auction close, if escrow is selected, an additional 48h will be allowed for arranging and agreeing upon

escrow details. Failure to comply will result in either:
A) if there are runner-up bidders behind you, I will award to those bidders
B) If no runner-up, the bidder will have an additional 48h to make payment after which the bidder will be considered to have flaked. If the payment

extension is required, then the promised ship date will be forfeited by the bidder in that case.

Address for payment is: 1BqCBBAasyCG9zqZaYU6MvjgXSgqGsng2

Payment will only be accepted via Bitcoin.

Please don't send payment until after winners have been announced. At auction close I will immediately post up who the winners are and what the

quantities are that they've won.

If you prefer a private payment address, let me know and it can be arranged.

Now onto the Items:

I have up for auction, the following items, all purchased directly from Casascius (Mike Caldwell) and I will include to any buyer a PDF of email

directly from Mike Caldwell outlining the circumstances of the purchase. All were purchased together in early 2012:

1 x Casascius Bitcoin Gold Bar. Zero value (marked face value). with 0.1BTC loaded on it and hologram intact.
1 x Casascius 25BTC Gold Plated Coin. (no digital value, already redeemed. Hologram is included)
6 x Casascius 1BTC Brass Coin, from Series 1, the original set. All have no digital value, holograms included (already redeemed)
10 x Casascius 5BTC Coin, no digital value, no hologram included

These are fairly rare (and there are a lot of knockoffs out there). I know these are fetching decent prices from collectors.

I'm opening the bidding at the following prices:
Bitcoin Bar - 2BTC
25BTC Coin - 0.25BTC
1BTC Brass Series 1 - 0.15BTC
5BTC Coin - 0.1BTC

Bid Increments will be 0.1BTC for the Bitcoin Bar
And 0.01BTC for 1BTC, 5BTC, and 25BTC coins.

And finally... Some Pics:

Important Update:

I made a mistake in the description. It's been a long time. I thought the bar was preloaded by Mike at 0.1BTC, it's 0.001BTC. As a result I'll discount the winning bidder by 0.1BTC for the bar. It is still an accurate description, the bar is fully loaded, and in it's original sealed state, as shipped from Mike in 2012, I just had the original amount wrong as it's been a long time since I double-checked it.

Apologize for any confusion.

Just to be clear, I'm assuming you only want one of each of the 1BTC and 5BTC coin at that price? (as I have several of those up)

Also to be clear, which series 1BTC are you asking for here? The series 1? Or series 2?

Also correction: In the opening bid, I said 1BTC series 1 was 0.1BTC opening price. I meant to say ALL 1BTC coins are 0.1BTC opening price.

(not editing original post as it's signed).

Hopefully everyone interpreted that either way. Thanks for understanding, I'm a bit rusty at this Wink lol

I'm a little unsure what you mean by ALL 1BTC coins are .1BTC opening price.  Does this mean that they are all bundled together?

I'm a little unsure what you mean by ALL 1BTC coins are .1BTC opening price.  Does this mean that they are all bundled together?

25BTC @ .3BTC

Sorry to be clear I have both Series 1 (x6), and Series 2 (x1) versions of the 1BTC coins. For a total of 7 coins. There was some confusion (both due to miswording on my part, and the fact that there are 2 types of 1BTC coins available).

So the opening price for EITHER the Series 1 coins, or the series 2 coins is 0.15BTC for each coin.

I also mis-spoke when I put up the post you're quoting (I had said 0.1BTC in that post, but if you refer back to the original it's 0.15 for the 1BTC coins). Sorry was probably a mistake putting up so many coins in one auction as it's been hard to keep numbers straight.

Anyway, re-post of opening bids for (hopefully) more clarity:
1BTC series 1 - 0.15BTC per coin
1BTC series 2 - 0.15BTC per coin
5BTC - 0.1BTC per coin
25BTC - 0.25BTC
Bar - 2BTC

Current leading bids:

BAR:
mullick - bar at 2.4BTC
25BTC:
Dogedigital - 25BTC coin at 0.3BTC
1BTC (Series1):
bassguitarman - 1BTC (series1) coin at 0.15BTC
1BTC (Series2):
NO BIDS!
5BTC:
snarlpill - 5BTC coin at 0.11BTC
bassguitarman - 5x 5BTC coin at 0.1BTC each (total 0.5BTC)

Remaining items that have no bids:
4x 5BTC coin
5x 1BTC (Series 1) coin
1x 1BTC (Series 2) coin

Still 9 hours remaining to get bids in!

Wow, I was going to bid on another coin until I just realized that the cheapest shipping option is 0.15 BTC for one coin and that doesn't even include tracking. I am in the US and have bought coins from Canadian sellers frequently and paid $3 to $5 for shipping via Canadian post. Now I'm hoping I get outbid but will honor my bid + shipping if I won because I apparently should have paid closer attention before bidding.

Yeah, I definitely was in the wrong there as I should have fully read the OP before bidding, and I'm sorry that I was a bit harsh and came across as bit of a dick, I was in a bad mood when I typed that. Also, the seller messaged me and told me why he started at those rates for a broad shipping policy, and it makes sense.

So with that being said, my total bids right now are:
1BTC Series1 - BID 1 @0.15BTC
5BTC Coin - BID 1 @0.11BTC
