Hey,

We've recently come up with an article about popularity of Apple Pay and Google Wallet, as well as the place of Bitcoin between these two giants.
http://bit-post.com/google-wallet-apple-pay-is-there-a-place-for-bitcoin/

Do you believe, Bitcoin has its place?
Should it be integrated in Apple Pay or Google Wallet, or be absolutely independent?

Google wallet is prettyy good. Sending money through email is a great idea, and Obviously something like this can already been done with bitcoin, so they should definitely integrate it.

mm I disagree of what people are saying here . Bitcoin should definitly  independent , we need publicity yes but not that kind of Publicity
Integrating it with either Google wallet or ApplePay will only make things worst and with having a third part involved .. Bitcoin won't be annonymus anymore .

So you do not believe in synergy that can be created by a universal wallet for fiat money, electronic money and crypto?

I do belieave in it , but if that means making Bitcoin looks like shit and making it worst then I won't be supporting the idea . We do agree that most of us use Bitcoin just because it's annonymus , fast , Decentralized ... so if Google or Apple just walk in and decide to make it something else then that ... Its just not acceptable .

Do you think Google and Apple can make bitcoin their pet-currency if they try to do so? Do you think it would be bad for bitcoin and its users? Wouldn't that be the best thing for bitcoin? Total acceptance and publicity?

Now, this is very interesting question. Perhaps, the issue that bothers the whole community is how to make Bitcoin as mainstream as possible while leaving its anonymity and decentralisation. If we find this balance, this frontier, the industry will succeed.
And though Google and Apple are not governments, they are big enough and not as transparent to let them capture Bitcoin in their paws. May be this is what community is afraid of...

Yep, I use google wallet and it would be really awesome if they integrated bitcoin, but I doubt that'll come any time soon...

I think they should integrate it. Bitcoin is a currency so you should be able to use to top-up/pay with Bitcoin just like Dollars, Euro's or Pounds.

Good news is that Stripe has embraced bitcoin. But the downpart is that there is a 0.5% fee and only people with a USD bank account can sart accepting BTC.So we should expect apple pay and google to integrate. if google does it, then thats going to be extermely helpful to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Isn't the point of bitcoin that it exists outside of the mainstream and independent to all other systems? ApplePay and Googlewallet have their place but they are both fiat mechanisms whereas bitcoin is a revolution in money and money transmitting. I can't see either of them accepting or dealing with btc but I hope I'm wrong.
