If the cards are first edition (they will have a little logo by the bottom left corner of the picture, and if they're in good condition, they are worth a good amount. First edition of pretty much any older set of cards can be worth money. Base set, Jungle, Fossil. Those haven't been produced for a long time now and if you have either unopened packs or well preserved first editions, you're in luck.

This thread brings back memories. I once took my Shining Charizard to a School class, and the teacher confiscated the card and tore it in front of me.

That was the end of pokermon cards for me. Never ever had I got such a rare card and had it torn :/
