I watched the video and thought he said they made 1.5 $m since they opened. Video was filmed in October 2014, and factory had beeen open a "couple of months"
Cost of operating is 80000$ monthly
looks like a massive fire hazard.
There have been a few that burned down. They should keep their fire safety in check otherwise..BOOM

Looks impressive. Just wondering, if it's such a secretive operation, then why would they allow anyone in to their facility in the first place?

I think there are only few BTC farms around. there is only 1 mil USD /day for all the BTC miners. it is almost impossible to make profit unless you have free electricity.

Very nice operation they have going there... One could only hope they don't always dump on the market, and it would be wise of them to at least hold a decent percentage of that as Bitcoin.

"Strangely, the mine’s workers actually live inside the facility itself, returning home just four or five days a month. In the summer months, temperatures inside are in excess of 100 degrees, and a persistent, deafening buzz is always present due to the dozens of industrial fans required to maintain a steady temperature for the site’s 3,000 ASIC miners—custom-built computers specifically built for mining bitcoins. " How can they even survive? Do they have like special sound-proof living quarters? I can't even stand one miner running, the constant humming drives me nuts... I guess it's no big deal, if they are making ~900,000USD at current rates.

These farms seem to be well maintained, and don't forget they have people there 24/7. In case anything goes wrong, it can be quickly controlled. I think smaller home miners have as much fire hazard as this farm

The amount of miners in just one facility is already huge, let alone 6. I wonder how would they keep up with the maintenance of so much devices. And the heat generated would be huge with the increasing difficulty and dipping prices, the chances of profit are lower now.

the profit is almost zero IF you have to pay the electricity. Do not forget that they have to buy NEW hardware every year.

For folks saying their profit is lowering/no profit... For me, they seem to be doing good, they would have already shutdown if they weren't having HUGE profits As for maintenance... Well, 24/7 maintenance, what's better than that?!

Is it Discus Fish anyway ? I don't think so as they state in the video that their computing power is good for 3 percent of the network. DiscusFish aka F2Pool has a far higher percentage of the network.

This is so cinematic. I would love to see a full movie that happens in a bitcoin mine like that.
