I would like to share a promotion we are doing on our forum. We are still young and working hard at growing. We are giving away .22 btc ($50usd current value) to one lucky person who is an active poster and follows the rules. We set the deadline to choose the lucky member for this Tuesday night, the 10th of Feb at 11:59est.

Why don't split the prize for 2 or 3 posters ?,
and did you notice that reward will only motivate some people to post spam and maybe useless.

Why don't just give away small amounts to everyone for posting and being active. I have seen promotions like these, a lot of people in the end get butt-hurt for not winning anything and then stop visiting the forum once and for all.

Better if the give away is made a frequent one with  the amount split and made available for all those who have a specific post count there on your forum.Many will be interested,join themselves and be active.

It is more better if you divide this 0.22BTC in many people that number can be 10 members or so . This way many people will receive at least something and this motivate them.

Yes , remember bittyfree forum ? they paid for everypost there.
But that forum is dead now , its not easy to build new forum now.
Forum grows because their community , build new forum with money power is not the best option but who knows.

Edit : got the answer, so member need to make 40new Threads to participate this giveaway. With the deadline is Feb 11th, at least need to make 10 new threads a day.

I truly feel that .22btc going to one person is very motivational, more than tiny amounts going to many people. Several sites have tried that but it just gets poor quality posting since they know they are guranteed to get paid for every post, so they just fill it with useless content with no effort at all. These sites always fail and run out of funds due to poor management.

The rules are clear and state no spammy content, just creative threads about things you are knowledgeable about, the goal here is to share knowledge with other members and guests reading the site, the non techie types who are curious about how they can use bitcoin and not a forum based on tech details and posts that only guys like us understand, think "Regular everyday people" curious about bitcoin and the things they have heard about it and how they are done etc.

Yes, it is really not that much, 10 threads a day, original content, at least one paragraph each. I do this myself and it takes me about 30 minutes total, I just write about things that I have experience with, it's is easy money for someone who already uses forums and posts already for free all the time on other sites.

If people are too lazy to make post a lot of posts and post the most to get paid about one dollar+ per post then they should just ignore this, since i guess they have too much money from all the time they spend on bitcoin faucets making 5 cents a day..... SEriously guys, think about it. This is easy money for the most aggressive poster who will get that 0.22btc on Tuesday night, if it is a tie, then the prize will be split but that is a rare chance that a tie would happen.

We will see, it appears that there are people who are interested in getting this money and doing a little work to get it. Nothing will change and it is still open for anyone who wants to participate. The best way to honestly operate a website is to not go back on your word, so when you say something, stick to it and gain the trust and respect of your members. That is how I work and will not change that. When a promotion is set, it stays set with no changes and no going back on my word.
