Is anyone else using this? I know it's highly experimental but it looks so far to eventually be the perfect solution for in-person Bitcoin transactions.

Now I've just got to find a friend with Androi I can talk into installing it to test it. . .

Do not waste your time debating whether Bitcoin can work. It does work.

"Early adopters will profit" is not a sufficient condition to classify something as a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. If it was, Apple and Microsoft stock are Ponzi schemes.

There is no such thing as "market manipulation." There is only buying and selling.

It's the sixth one down when I search the market for 'bitcoin.'

Also it's the top link on https://github.com/bitcoin-labs/

Well, it works for me in the US. But that stinks. I don't understand why there would be nation restrictions.

Judging from the source code it's nowhere near finished. I guess when it's ready for use the authors will post about it here.

Im not sure if this is to be trusted?
I sent a few coins to the app but they were never received... (or maybe the programmer received them?)
Any other experiences?

Did you try refreshing by clicking on the "Check Balance" button?

Where would i find this button? on the main screen it shows
"Balance" with nothing under it, and two buttons, scan and receive. (scan gives a qr-scanner, and receive generates a qr code)

(download link here: https://github.com/downloads/bitcoin-labs/bitcoin-mobile-android/bitcoin-mobile-android-0.0.2-SNAPSHOT.apk )

So far it doesnt seem to work, i tried sending the money back, it told me it sent the btc, but they were never received on my pc... so i dont trust it, or maybe im missing something important...

At least there's source code.

He seems to be using bitcoinj, which is going to suck since it (last I checked) downloads the full block chain instead of just the headers (which mobile devices should do to save bandwidth, battery and so on; but the code doesn't quite exist yet).

I would try switching the phone to WiFi and letting the app run overnight (while charging). Come to think of it, it does need a status display so you know if it's current on the block chain.

When I looked at the source code it seemed to be using BitcoinJ for a few minor things but otherwise relying on an external server.

As I mentioned, it seemed very unfinished. If you have problems with it, contact the developers and ask them about it.
