Litecoin Setup?

Hey guy's recently i'v decided to try out litecoin mining. I never set up any other sort of mining before. The part im getting stuck on is setting up the miner. Is there someone that has more detailed instructions as to how to do this? I have my wallet all ready to go and an account with a pool.

What type of hardware setup do you have? Do you have a GPU available for mining?

Is litecoin the one that only allows cpu mining and has all kinds of restrictions on when/how much you can mine?
