I have a dumb question... what's wrong with this private key?

Created on bitcoinpaperwallet.com Sent $1, then copied to to a text file.

Public: 19c8pHjh8d5R2XkwUq74QuHEDFJcKER1vs
Private: 5JmdXtN7fDwaD8ZH2a1ksEeotDaw6WKahgCCArLZmCV8RLBAiDW

I tried sweeping the private key in coinbase & paper wallet android app. Neither worked... complaining it's improper format.

The length looks okay. Can anyone explain what's wrong? If you figure out, please keep the $1 as tip. I only ask you please explain to me the problem.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

can not even be decoded.  It is not proper base58 encoding of anything.

My bad... figured it out.

This worked 5JmdXtN7fDwaD8ZH2a1ksEeotDaw6WKahgCCArLZmCV8RLBAiDW
Which, strangely looks exactly the same.

It turns out, somehow an invisible (unicode?) character had been introduced after the "Daw6", when I pasted it somewhere that inserted the line break. I managed to find the non-alphanumeric using rege[Suspicious link removed]

Once I removed that character... imported the $1 into coinbase.

strange, it shows up as a "-' lookalike in notepad but is invisible here 5JmdXtN7fDwaD8ZH2a1ksEeotDaw6WKahgCCArLZmCV8RLBAiDW but looks like 5JmdXtN7fDwaD8ZH2a1ksEeotDaw6-WKahgCCArLZmCV8RLBAiDW in notepad.  and is 53 characters instead of 51 because of that hidden character.  Very strange
glad u figured out Cheesy

Ahhhh..... I've seen that issue loads of times. Mostly when copy/pasting passwords, though.
Why would there even be unicode characters for '' (nothing)?
