Hi to all!
Today Avast detected Win32:GenMalicious-BPG in Electrum LTC install file.
Also it removed all clients files!
WTF?!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Report to Avast as False Positive. Check your settings so the software asks you before deleting anything.

I can't read Russian. But I'm sure you at least checked the file hash of the file you downloaded from the official site, yes?

I downloaded it from https://electrum-ltc.org/

Standalone exec for Win checks out. sha256sum matches as well as pgp signature.

Edit: setup.exe for Win checks out. sha256sum and signature match

Edit2: portable for Win checks out as well (again sha256sum and pgp sig)
Im not really here, its just your imagination.

False positive happens nearly all the time, dont be alarmed if you see a virus on official files. Always make sure to check the checksums and download from the official site and you will be free from viruses. It would also be good if you could review source code and compile it yourself to ensure that it is free from viruses
