Are you talking about blockchain.info ? I don't suggest it... instead it is better greenAddress.it (multiSig + 2FA+ istant confirm). What do you want more? However also electrum it is a good desktop wallet.

Also electrum use a password for every thing you will do ( send a payment, see the private key of an address , etc...). However I suggest you to use electrum, blockchain.info is not a good wallet. If you want you can also use greenAddress ( with a second level of security "multi signature address").

Also i read ppl say well blockchain isn't that safe b/c its an online wallet and if some hacker hacks bitcoin, u lose your bitcoin. But wouldn't it be many blockchain users though and thus it would be a huge thing? Does anyone think something like this could happen? Im thinking since it still hasn't happened now, i assume it probably won't? How many cases have there been when some big online wallet like blockchain got hacked by hackers and then ppl with bitcoins there all got it taken? I believe there was one called Mov'Gov ... something to that name?
But some ppl here say its safe to keep any amount of btc there b/c if you feel funds in your online sportsbooks account are safe... then blockchain is even safer. I would like know if anyone agrees with that last statement.

I sticked into blockchain since this wallet is easy to use and can be access everywhere.
About Electrum , I kindda troublesome since It can be use once you've download it. It means only that device can access the electrum wallet

you can always check these things youself. just search something like "losing bitcoin on bclockchain.info" "or lost bitcoin on Electrum" and most importantly when you find results from your search, read WHY they lost their bitcoin

if by blockchain you mean blockchain.info the online wallet, it is a good wallet just remember to keep your high amounts in cold wallet also enable 2FA on that also you can use Electrum or multibit they are desktop wallet and lightweight

I personally, choose electrum, i think dont need 2FA for electrum because there are word phrase and you will be fine, you can back up and save private key. i dont know if bci now have a nice security, i tired use bci, and they're delisted on bitcoin.org : https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (no blockchain.info).

I personally used blockchain.info as my ready to go wallet, anywhere you can access it and its secure too. But if your holding lots of bitcoins you might try to put them on another wallet where it can be only access on one device like electrum for a long term safe keeping.

If your computer gets corrupted, you can still reinstall electrum and restore your wallet, if you have the 12 word seed. The wallet on electrum can be encrypted with a password. So if somebody has access to your computer, he would still need the password to steal your coins.

Isn't greenaddress in the end just like another on-line wallet? I don't know much about it. Does the user gets his private keys? How is it more secured than blockchain?

Are you talking about blockchain.info ? I don't suggest it... instead it is better greenAddress.it (multiSig + 2FA+ istant confirm). What do you want more? However also electrum it is a good desktop wallet.
Isn't greenaddress in the end just like another on-line wallet? I don't know much about it. Does the user gets his private keys? How is it more secured than blockchain? It's really just your preference, however, greenaddress does offer better security and features. Greenaddress allows you to setup a transaction limit and will limit your transaction volume. If your account gets hacked, the hacker will not be able to make more transaction than what you specified. Also, blockchain.info has some security holes before.

Yes, it is 100 time more secure than blockchain.info - check the greenAddress official thread here in the forum : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521988.0

Any of the wallets its secure within itself. Even if you have a wallet in blockchain.info without 2FA address etc.. if you have a decent password and you don't get hacked, the coins will be safe.
