Any delusional clues on why Satoshi used such particular Base58 set?

Here goes mine:

Lol. Li.I c. Lie Algebras
*o*o Re+dit. Li, vi, Rir.
It is so lol + li...
I read it on reddit in Portuguese reads:
"Eu li-o no lido"...

{ Imagine a sequence of bits generated from the first decimal place of the square roots of whole integers that are irrational numbers. If the decimal falls between 0 and 5, it's considered bit 0, and if it falls between 5 and 10, it's considered bit 1. This sequence from a simple integer count of contiguous irrationals and their logical decimal expansion of the first decimal place is called the 'main irrational stream.' Our goal is to design a physical and optical computing system system that can detect when this stream starts matching a specific pattern of a given size of bits. bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166760.0 } Satoshi did use a friend class in C++ and put a comment on the code saying: "This is why people hate C++".

- Avoids characters that are difficult to tell apart. For example: zero and upper case O.
- Lines don't break. You can copy and paste with a double click.

It is nice to see that my hard work (and the cost of £9000 a year) is finally starting to pay off. As I actually understand what the f*** people are saying.

I did a little research and according to wikipedia:

Quote
Base58 is a group of binary-to-text encoding schemes used to represent large integers as alphanumeric text. It is similar to Base64 but has been modified to avoid both non-alphanumeric characters and letters which might look ambiguous when printed. It is therefore designed for human users who manually enter the data, copying from some visual source, but also allows easy copy and paste because a double-click will usually select the whole string.

For anyone who is interested in what the set looks like:

As you can see 0 has been omitted as it could be confused with 0, capital I and O have been omitted and lower case l. Interesting...

Satoshi used base 58 because

5*8 =40

The number of syllables in Satoshi's name =7

40/7 =5.714285714285714 which Satoshi found to be an interesting number.

Duh?!?!?!

Just goes to show that Satoshi is rational.

sorry guys but i cant figure out a single word of what are you talking this is too much thecnical for me the algorithm of blocks in bit coin its even not for me let the computer do the find and we porceed with this currency no?

Don't you just love how paid signatures lead to posts such as this appearing in nearly every single topic in the forum.  Roll Eyes

I've pretty much stopped coming here because literally every other post is some dude with broken english saying something completely useless (always with an ad in his signature).  And I am not exaggerating.  Its literally every other post.  If I was running this site, that would bother me, and I would restrict advertising in signatures.  It will drastically reduce the stupid pointless threads, and pointless posts within threads.

I guess the only option left is to bump the Meta thread suggesting to remove signatures entirely.

Why?   How about just not allowing spam on a forum?  Pretty global rule for most forums.  Easily enforced.  Doesn't affect real people's ability to have sigs.

Because they were obviously created by making up a meaningful human readable phrase as the address.

I think that the problem is now that there is simply so much spam the mods cannot even find time to delete it all (and yes I also have complained numerous times about how shit the posting quality has become to no absolutely avail).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.
