hello

i m creating this thread because i think that the user cxboyminer is selling his account after a recent scam of 150$(may be many others that are not reported)
Scam thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923959.0

Account sales thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=949287.msg10394486#msg10394486

that account(cxboyminer - UID : 148493) is up for sale by user "Guidedog"
if you check all his given specs for the account he is selling it confirmed that its cxboyminer account

a user requested him to verify and sign a message from his address "1CXBoyEH8C8iLnprD5YJ92kacTWDrEmSTy"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.msg7919309#msg7919309
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637095.msg7105808#msg7105808

which he was using since a long time and he did verified this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=949287.msg10397380#msg10397380

and at the same the user "Guidedog" posted a message that he sold his account back in 28 Nov 2014
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=949287.msg10397335#msg10397335

then how he signed the message from the wallet address that was used june and july when the account was sold
i don't think people buy the bitcoin address when they buy the account, and use it for transaction, because there are risk of losing money by the previous owner of of the account and address
but still he is using the same address after 28 nov 2014 that OP said when it was sold
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917319.msg10100639#msg10100639

so there are high chances that the real owner of the account is still same and account was never sold or hacked
and now he is trying to sell his account to get as many money as he can out from this account

i request moderator and default trust list members to check this account and after confirmation leave him red trust so that he can't scam more peoples after this

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The account was most likely not sold. It would be possible that he included he private key with the sale, but considering the fact that the description of the account matches almost perfectly (previously had positive/green trust, had some negative trust, post/activity count) I would say they are likely one and the same.

it is possible that account buyer want the private key of the associated wallet with account purchase
but that will be for safety purpose, if in future they will need to verify the account ownership
but i don't think they will use the same wallet for transaction , a wallet that can be accessed by someone else(previous owner)
while he is still using the same wallet after the possible account sale(which i think never happened)

If he is using the same address to receive funds to then it would strengthen the argument that the account was not sold.
