What about Android?
Most of people who got scammed lost their BTC on shady exchanges, how's OS relevant in this case?
after I use Windows, I have been robbed and now I switched to Android, whether the risk will be higher? Why not buy a hardware wallet ? where can I get it? I do not know about the hardware wallet

I think the most vunerable OS will be Windows {Hackers will almost always target the OS with the biggest user base}
I use a "bootable disk" when I want to transfer funds or use my wallets from a computer. That way, I can get passed most screen or keyloggers and most virusses with trojans.
Just remember to unplug your harddrive, before you boot up with the bootable disk. {Help to prevent nasty stuff, spreading from the harddrive to the memory, even when you not using it}

I have never been robbed by anyone - not even in real life! I'm the only person who pick the last option. Yes, my main wallet is on my mobile for easy access.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

This thread would be 100's of pages by now had you included "wasted BTC on this bag of ponzi'd shitcoins".

Nope. In fact, I created my own 3rd layer of encryption using ultrasound waves. I won't go through the details unless you sign an NDA.

I do not know about the hardware wallet Hardware wallets like Trezor are effective in stopping malware since there are currently no designed for it and they have anti keylogger features. IMO it is a good investment for huge amount of BTC. For small amounts go for paper wallets generated on offline computer.

I have not been robbed for BTC but whatever OS you use, you should not install any unreliable or untrusted software and beware of the websites you access as any flaw in the security of your browser or OS, you can lose you money.

Given how many topics appear in the forum about people getting robbed, I wanted to throw a POLL to get some stats here. Thanks for participating.
Not everyone on the forum gets robbed because of system hack. Most of the times its a scam they fall prey to.

Nope. Never been robbed. I use a Macbook as my "hot" wallet, but it's password protected twice, and encrypted. So I think I am safe.

if you use a good antivirus and antimaleware and dont click on every shit link you will never lose 1 BTC, even with Windows. but even that is too complicated for the average joe. so there must be more hardware-wallets and mutlisig transactions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=899253.0

Its worth noting that it is not waterproof, though water resistant. It may cause damage to your device since it isn't 100% waterproof. Water will eventually go inside due to high water pressure if submerged for a long time.
