Many people think the quote goes "Money is the root of all evil"....
In actual fact, it is "The *love of money is the root of all evil".
Those who are willing to treat others in a way that they would not want to be treated themselves merely in order to gain financial advantage are the truly sad people of the world who think that scamming others, thieving, and generally abandoning your principles are acceptable paths to wealth.
I personally know quite a few millionaires closely both as friends in some cases and clients in others, and I can assure those who want to be there, that once you are "up there", a whole new slew of problems will appear in your life to replace the old ones of "not having enough money"
Protecting it, avoiding those who want to steal/tax it. and the worst of all.. Wondering which of your recently acquired "friends" would still like you if you *werent wealthy... One friend who "made it" has confided in me that I am one of the few people he feels comfortable talking with, because "I knew him and still liked him when he was poor (before he made his millions)"
Im not where he is, but you know what, having seen it up close, Im not sure that I *want to be..
If Bitcoin succceeds and helps enrichen me as a side benefit, well and good, but I will be *happier to know that it has helped free many from the problems of a manipulated fiat money system and hopefully not just acted as a an instrument to transfer wealth from one group of sad people to another group of sad money grubbing people.
This and my earlier remarks were not directed at the opener of this thread, but rather the gleeful trolls and FUDsters who take every opportunity to discourage people whilst obviously (as someone else said) having an agenda to make it worth their time hanging around spreading fear and gloom.
ok, /moral waffle.
