I'm just posting so you're not the only one posting in your own thread about this recent surge of atheist terrorism. It makes you look a little less like a resentment-fueled christian if other people post here too.  Cool

You are welcome. Everyone is, as usual. Although I do have a habit of updating my own thread instead of creating multiple threads of a similar subject. I used to edit a post, but realized changing a post was not true to its time stamp or fair to people only reading the very last post, missing an updated post if the thread goes to page two.

So yes, there is a method to my madness.

Enjoy your stay and your vigorous participation on the subject at hand: "Anti-theist kills to prove the world religions bring killers together!"

 Cool

An "Anti-theist" is not definitionally an "Athiest".

Yes I know. Just posting the scum's facebook page, verbatim. The body of the dead muslims were not even cold yet and already the shot by a gun loving right wing Crusaaaader machine was running full steam ahead. Amazingly sad, yet predictable...

Because:

A review of the Facebook page of the man charged in these murders, Craig Hicks, shows a consistent themes of anti-religion and progressive causes. Included in his many Facebook “likes” are the Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Freedom from Religion Foundation, Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” Neil deGrasse Tyson, Gay Marriage groups, and a host of anti-conservative/Tea Party pages.

Mass shootings are quite common in the US.

I guess the lack of coverage by major news outlets it's because the victims are the wrong "color"...

Let's not get off track. I don't know what this violent disturbed guy thinks. But all the athiests I know arrived at their decision because of science and not based on their delusional hatred. Just as most Christians and Muslims I know did not start believing so that they could wage a holly war on their neighbors.
It seems to me that the guy is just stupid. We had a crazy killer here in Wisconsin who shot dead a bunch of Indians because he thought they were Middle Easterners. That is how little he knew about what he was doing.

Shhhh, don't interrupt Wilikon when he's on his strawman crusade. In the interest of being Fair and Balanced©, just let him get it all off his chest.

Yeah, not surprised, it really is only in the U.S that people get so fucking hung up on the colour of someone's skin so publicly, in fact one trend I've noticed when it comes to any shooting in America, it's not about whether or not the person was getting shot while unarmed or whether the person shooting was a cop or not. It's over what ethnicity they were or whether they're a man or a woman and in the end the whole thing devolves into an argument about that which is why nobody over there gets anything done about it.

Edit: Now the argument is going to be over whether the guy was an Athiest or not.

Its interesting to see how carefully crafted they define they his ideology, if he had been a muslim he would have been branded a terrorist, any form of violent extremism is terrorism something he clearly is.

Chapel Hill Shooter Had Earlier Parking Disputes With The Three Students, Described Himself To Neighbors As “Gun Toting” Atheist…

Media still attempting to spin him as a Right Winger.

The North Carolina man accused of killing three Muslims in a dispute over parking spaces had earlier run-ins with his neighbors, sometimes while wearing a handgun on his hip.

Police were still trying to determine whether religious hatred played any role in the shootings, which shocked the bucolic college town of Chapel Hill and left many residents grappling to make sense of the crime.

Charged with three counts of first-degree murder is Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, who has described himself as a “gun toting” atheist. Neighbors said Wednesday that he always seemed angry and confrontational. His ex-wife said he was obsessed with the shooting-rampage movie “Falling Down” and showed “no compassion at all” for other people.

His current wife, Karen Hicks, said that her husband “champions the rights of others” and that the killings “had nothing do with religion or the victims’ faith.” She then issued another brief statement through her lawyer, saying she’s divorcing him.[…]

Chapel Hill Police asked the FBI for help in their probe, and Ripley Rand, the U.S. attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina, said his office was monitoring the investigation. But Rand said the crime “appears at this point to have been an isolated incident.”[…]

“This man was frustrated day in and day out about not being able to park where he wanted to,” said Karen Hicks’ attorney, Robert Maitland.

The killings were “related to long-standing parking disputes my husband had with various neighbors regardless of their race, religion or creed,” Karen Hicks said.

Police have not said how Hicks got inside the condominium, but on Wednesday afternoon there were no visible signs of damage to the couple’s door, which was affixed with orange stickers warning of biohazardous material inside. A wooden placard bearing Arabic script that translates to “Thanks to God” hung over their doorbell.

A woman who lives near the scene described Hicks as short-tempered.

“Anytime that I saw him or saw interaction with him or friends or anyone in the parking lot or myself, he was angry,” Samantha Maness said of Hicks. “He was very angry, anytime I saw him.”

Hicks’ ex-wife, Cynthia Hurley, said that before they divorced about 17 years ago, his favorite movie was “Falling Down,” the 1993 Michael Douglas film about a divorced unemployed engineer who goes on a shooting rampage.

So it looks like the whole thing was actually a running dispute about parking space. Well his solution does solve his parking problems.

If I were the judge I would have awarded him a visitor parking spot at the prison.  Cheesy This is one of many reasons no one would ever let me be a judge.  Sad

But what about the atheism? Embarrassed  Now he's going to prison just because he's an ordinary murderer? What an uncompelling story, we already got plenty of those!
