The coin is based on LTC source and has not been created with coingen. As this should be a fair & honest coin it would'n make sense to build it with coingen and have no control over it.

The source code will be made available after the coin is launched.

I do understand and I am sure there would be other wishes for it regarding the algo. I really wanted to go back to the roots with it and this was a reason why I have used the scrypt algo.

Yes some algo's are preferred over others but I do hope this will not stop you mining a good clean coin from the beginning.
