Alpha testing will start on V5 today, selected few are getting informed today and testing will beginn.

From our planned date the 15.01.2017 (official alpha release) we been a few days late, but this is development.

A shame that the aim to  deliver V5 before that time line did not work.

As of now 90% of information is on our slack channel only about 10% on BCT. Bitcointalk chat in here is unregulated and full of junk msg and because of this till the new board is open only limited info is posted here.

During Alpha and for disclosure reasons no new invites are accepted to the slack channel.
Once alpha goes to beta stage we will open slack invites again and general public can join beta testing.

In the mean time be patient, and wait till beta is released.

That is a good question.  I don't know if anyone from WBB will be addressing that anytime soon, but my theory is that they aren't worried about that yet.

Unless they are outright lying, they have some players in the Insurance industry lined up to utilize this tech when it comes online officially.  The timeline indicates they are not only providing the coin tech, but are also working with each specific type of insurance provider to develop custom tools for each niche as well.  I am not familiar with waves or komodo so I don't know if that is their plain as well, or if that is something unique to WBB right now.

I'm thinking their first goal is getting a solid foothold into the insurance industry, then worry about what everyone else is doing (or they might never care). 

Again that is all just my observation, things might be very different from their perspective.

re. the guy who asked for comparison to waves and komodo, i think wbb's aim is different from both of those with very specific (but huge) target industries (just to start).  waves looks promising i guessss for what it is and COULD be, but honestly it has awhile to go before it hits bigger releases and bigger price.  for all that ico money...fuck all has happened with waves...wbb dev had zero.  komodo is going to be a huge fucking fail for sure, do not even bother.  will be some big release news maybe one pump but it'll end up vaporware or at a dead end in no time as the dev behind it never comes thru!

Fully agree. WBB is a good project, despite the delays. I added to my pile at 9k satoshi at the last drop. It is all about buying when everybody is screaming 'it is over'. This current levels are still a good entry price.
