You probably have been banned many times if you have that many units of evil

I was using Tor. Changing exit nodes didn't change the fee. I had to make another account, and that one cost 0.011BTC, which I ended up paying but is still way too much. There is no way accounts should cost this much, there should be a fixed fee for registering from a Tor exit node if this was caused by a large number of people being banned.

Did you use Tor to make the one that costed 0.011?

0.07 is a lot to pay to create an account since you could buy a Member or Full Member for this price but to buy it you need an account to contact the owner  Wink

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I found the part about not directly giving your address to faucets fishy as hell...The most probable outcome is u will never be able to enterely pay the fee

I'm curious to know what sites they link to for getting "free bitcoins". If it's just faucets, then obtaining enough to pay the 0.07 BTC fee would take months, if not years. Last week, I was able to earn just little over 10 cents using Freebitco.in despite using it pretty much 24/7. According to Preev, 0.07 BTC is currently worth $17.

I think that the system was working basically as expected, but I made an adjustment which will reduce evil accumulation in some cases.

There are only 75 IPs in the database that can by themselves cause a fee requirement of more than 0.01 BTC, and 19 above 0.05 BTC. Fees are often very small. See the inputs of these transactions, for example:

(It was my intention when originally designing the system that 1 unit of evil would require about an hour of work and about a day of waiting to get the fee via faucet sites, but it's probably easier than that now.)

At least it is a bit expensive to be a scammer but a scammer could just register from a public wifi or an internet shop and not pay any fee.
