Suppose I want to share my public key for donations, but the problem is everyone can see how many btc I have. Suppose I create a second account for donations but now people can see where all the btc goes from there and cunclude it's my address. How to share a public key and still hide my savings?

When you keep the same address for donations, people are always able to see how much donations you received. You need to change the donation address frequently to mask that. If you want to hide you savings, the easiest way is to use the donation address for spending only.

So, my ultimate recommendation:

Provide 2 options:

1 bitcoin address for donations, where you'd do whatever has been described above to try and keep it as traceless as possible

1 monero address for donations, because if someones really concerned with traceability they'd use a cryptocurrency with actual privacy features

and, I guess I should put it in here too to be fair, 1 darkcoin address because darkcoins all the rage these days

of course you'd have to deal with exchanging the alts for bitcoin (or deciding to hold them), but yeah.

just use mixing service to loose your bitcoin track
no one will find your real address
another option is using trustworthy exchange to hide your bitcoin chain of transactions
good luck with your donations

Create a primary address, then receiving address
After you got enough, send from receiving address using mixer (like bitmixer.io) to your primary address Wink

take a look at my current signature, the process is called mixing coins, the website explains it better though
this way your real address will be hidden and untracable

if you use change addresses, and/or every address once it is going to be hard to track your transactions and find out the source
alternatively you can use a service called mixing which you can find to mix your coins

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

I like how bitmixer.io recognizes TOR and has a .onion site. Has anyone done a security audit of bitmixer.io? Are there any serious reviews of it?

Buy the dip with the security and privacy of your own wallet: use cross chain atomic swaps to trade Bitcoin, USDT, and Ether. Trades are secured and settled on-chain. https://sibex.io

Use a bitcoin mixing service. They act as a "middle man" to provide more anonymity to the transaction. See my signature for a link to Bitmixer.Io

the question is why is op trying to take donations then send them to his personal wallet?  sounds like the user is asking how to scam properly.

Use HD technology.

You have your "master" key, from which you can generate infinite(almost) keys that you can show to each of your donors. Derived keys are unrelated, but you, as the owner of the master key, can redeem all the credits sent to derived keys.

...

For even more privacy, and if you do not mind spending an extra 0.6% or so more, you can run your BTC through TWO different mixing services in sequence...:

bitmixer.io

and then

by blockchain.info's shared coin service (I believe you must have a blockchain account there though).

If you are careful about doing that, NO ONE but "The Big Rhino" (US government) will be able to track your BTC.  Both above services work quite well, and clearly use different algorithms -- an advantage!

Your "savings" account, has nothing to do with your "donation" account, if you do not transfer bitcoin between them.

Use seperate public addresses for both of them, and do not transfer between them.

You can check your privacy with this site -----> https://bitcoinprivacy.net/

The only reason, I could think of, why you doing this, is to take "charity" donations for your own use. This sound a bit off to me.

Simple. Use an exchange or mixer service. Or split your coins through several (tens or hundreds of) addresses and return them to your address if you're bored.  Tongue

of course you'd have to deal with exchanging the alts for bitcoin (or deciding to hold them), but yeah.
Alt coins are very very volatile, the altcoin may lose value and crash overnight like what happened to darkcoin before. If you use a mixer and a new address for every transaction, you would most likely not get traced.
Use a bitcoin mixing service. They act as a "middle man" to provide more anonymity to the transaction. See my signature for a link to Bitmixer.Io

To be honest, almost every wallet have traces of taint coins and I haven't seen anyone getting caught because of that. Since the bitcoin can also be from a exchange or other website, most people wouldn't care what is the source of your coins unless you spend a address that is linked to criminal activity to your wallet which is impossible unless you have the private key.

You go through a third party business or use a mixer.
