This account will soon be used as a bot on behalf of the BIT-X signature campaign. It's primary use will be to message enrolled users when necessary.

Are there any rules I should be made aware of?

Don't spam too many messages to people(at least not to them who are not enrolled in the campaign).
Messaging people about the campaign is your right so I don't think anyone should have a problem with that.

Also it would be better if you can explain properly that what this bot will exactly do except for messaging people?
I also feel that forum wouldn't like too many ping requests from the bot.

Also when will the bot be ready?

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

Messages wouldn't be spammed and would only be sent to those enrolled in the campaign at most once a week and upon enrolment.

I'll provide more details on it's functioning relatively soon!

It is more or less ready to be used.

As a newbie you can only send messages to 5 people per hour. This would bot be a very efficient way of communicating with participants.

Why do you need to send messages with it? I'm not sure it's gonna work with the PM limits anyway.

I doubt more than 5 messages will be made hourly. This is no longer an issue once the account is a bit older.

The forum rules are not discriminatory based on if you are using a "bot" or not. You would want to be sure the bot is programmed to follow the rules. The most likely concern would probably be illegal bumping as you want to make sure you are not bumping any of your threads more then once per 24 hours (this includes updates)

Messages would be made to enrolled users for example when they have been enrolled, paid or if there was an issue with the user.

Can't you just use a bot like Bitmixer does on their site to confirm enrolments? People will likely know when they get paid as well. Having a bot automate messages just sounds like asking for trouble.

Maybe we should give him the benefit of doubt of not accusing him of a crime before he's committed it.

Im not agree with bots in the forum.

The problem with bots will be the non sense comments, and if people see that other users are wining easy money with bots, in a fast time we will have a lot of bots here.

Just an opinion.

marcotheminer has advertised his thread in a number of other signature campaign threads a number of times. This was not him being helpful (like you like to be - and is the source of claims of you being a spammer)

When in bot mode, the account won't post elsewhere than the signature campaign thread and only PM enrolled or attempted enrol users.

For recently made payments to qualified users (though I am still deciding whether this is really necessary, when such a thing could be sent to the users involved directly via PM)

Understood. The bot won't be replying in other threads when in bot mode. If posts are made in any other threads than the BIT-X signature thread then they would have been made manually by myself and thus should (will) not be spam

Unsolicited PMs shouldn't (won't) be an issue as only enrolled users or users who are actively attempting to enrol will be sent messages and only about twice a week (more than likely just 1 PM a week to notify a user of a successful payment).

Thank you for the reply.
