would a corsair 750w be enough to power two antminer s3's which use 340w even though I will be using two PCI 6pins for each instead of the standard four?

No, I run them at stock voltage.

I don't think I would try to overclock because even though the needed power of the S3 are lower than the advertised power of the PSU, it is quite near it!

not all corsair are top of the line!
if it's a good model, it might make it thru the summer. if it is a poor model it will die very soon!
better investment will be an 850w corsair(single rail) even better: evga 1300w that you can use in the future to power 2 s5 or an sp20

I ran corsair HX850 for each pair of S3's I had, most overclocked and never had an issue.  When it comes to a power supply, never go cheap.  Quality is most important.

Yeah, it should if kept on stock settings; I wouldn't necessarily recommend putting a stock with an OC's miner on the same PSU; uneven load & wear.

Just get an 80PlusGOLD, shouldn't be any issues on stock.

However, you'd be running at near capacity; not desirable if already in a warm environment.

I typically recommend buying a PSU with 100W of headroom to compensate for power, heat fluctuations & future growth.

350w x 2 = 700w + 100w = 800w -> Might as get the 850 since it is more widely available for just a few dollar difference.

I don't do the two psu per miner thing... one miner, one psu; my PSU related downtime is nearly zero.
