Could anyone please post a link to the webpage of the airline company where it is actually possible to pay with BTC. Thanks a lot.

I don't want to spoil the party, but Expedia does not accept BTC (no difference for flights or hotels, at least in Europe), nor does British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, KLM or any company I've traveled with recently.

Expedia does accept bitcoin. Here is a page on their site about it http://www.expedia.com/Checkout/BitcoinTermsAndConditions

I think the very first airfare booking service to accept it a couple years ago was CheapAir:

http://www.cheapair.com/help/payment-and-billing/what-is-bitcoin/

More sites and more ways to book just make it easier for Bitcoin acceptance, and brings it into the public eye more and more.

Last year was huge as far as travel websites go, with Expedia accepting Bitcoin for hotel reservations:

I dont think I have enough Bitcoin to buy a cheap ticket yet. Where can I find a list of the 250 airlines?

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

Yes, it's a good site, but when I compared its prices to my local travel guide sites, it's far more expensive than many of the other services out there...

Anyone here already using bitcoin for flight tickets?

On my state , Indonesia , still not implement that yet.
But I'm waiting for it cause using bitcoin as the payment will speed up my transaction.

let alone for it, for bitcoin only in Indonesia is still illegal. and there are still many devices that do not support bitcoin in Indonesia

All right, thanks a lot! This is getting useful.

3 companies to buy flight tickets with BTC:

http://www.sky-tours.com/
https://btctrip.com/
https://www.cheapair.com/

Back to Expedia, I'm afraid their service doesn't accept BTC in Europe.

Don't forget if you got enough BTC stashed away, you can even go to space!

I've never been on a plane in my life.

dont use that. its dangerous! we should ban it.

ahaha thi is nice!!!

if you think at the airplane, it is the most secure

consider how many fatal car accidents in the day there are ...
and how many fatal accidents in air per day, there are ...

the plane definitely wins !!!

Then take into account how many cars there are in the world to how many planes are flying in the world you catch my drift  Wink

Will look into paying for flights further funny i have only just seen anything about it thanks for links an idea etc OP.

A Plan is anytime more safer. Car accidentshappen due to human mistakes. Planes crash due to system and natural causes , which don't happen that often.

It's been possible for coming up to 2 years.

I've successfully used BTCTrip twice.  It's built up a decent reputation in this time.  Even Satoshi's given a testimonial!

This is great new, really!
A lot people traveling now to very far destinations and searching the cheapest solutions for their flight tickets.
This can help bitcoin to become more popular way of payment and mainstream for such digital product in high demand online.

Expedia allows Bitcoin payment for hotel bookings. Expect them to add flight bookings soon too, though I don't see much benefit in that. Hotel booking I can understand if one is looking for some anonymity.
you can pay hotel with cash if you want to stay anonymous you don't reach anonymity with BTC alone. hotels will ask for ID
