"He was trying to run away from us.." lol , you can clearly see that the man did nothing but stand still, and this is another case of power missuse by the allmight police.
And the 911 caller is obv. a typical american, scared of his own shadow (he was scared to leave for work and leave his wife home alone..)

I'm sure there'll be a civil suit filed at minimum. If the cops don't wrap the thin blue line around this officer, then he might be held criminally liable. I doubt that'll happen tho. Most likely is the family will get a settlement which the taxpayers have to foot the bill for. Ideally, the officer's pension should be at stake here because of his behavior.

Actually the police was completely at fault here. The video clearly shows he wasn't running and was indeed walking in the opposite direction , to point them to his home probably to show them the documents and ID. He also said he didn't speak english when the cops approached him, so thats exactly what a helpless person would do - take them to his home where others can help sort the matter out. There was also no need to assault here since he was an old man.

The cops also had nothing on him, and the assault was completely unnecessary.

First the black shooutout, then the muslim shoot out and now this. Sad world we are living in

My goodness. This poor gentlemen. Imagine, coming from a small village/town in India and being a farmer and suddenly, you're thrust into the midst of this strange country, strange land, probably strolling his son's neighborhood and seeing open garages and marveling at the riches and trapping of this land he's heard so much about. And then this.

I hope the case is taken to its logical conclusion and the cop is made to pay for this.

Ideally, he will spend some time with a few of the people he locked up.

This, and other things like this, are reasons why I am regularly suggesting learning the things that Karl Lentz is teaching. Why? Because Karl shows us, among many other things, how to properly litigate the man who wears the badge, uniform and gun, rather than his office as law enforcement officer. Such proper litigating scares law enforcement, because it attacks their bond. If the bond is attacked successfully, both the man (cop) loses his job or worse, and the bond pays out to those who have been harmed by law enforcement.

Its hard to know the truth, without being involved throughout.

The governor of the US state of Alabama has apologised to the Indian government for the treatment of an Indian man left partially paralysed after being thrown to the ground by a policeman.

Robert Bentley said the policemen used "excessive force" on Sureshbhai Patel, 57, earlier this month.

The officer involved was charged with the assault but has pleaded not guilty.

His father was taking a walk around the neighbourhood. Chirag would have considered the neighbourhood to be safe.
We now know that it wasn't.

The officer is responsible for this man. I hope he gets fine but after getting paralyzed, nothing much can help. Can't imagine that for just taking a walk, the police can be so cruel and the man was punished for nothing.
