The Canadian government will be sending financial aid plus radar satellite images to Ukraine to support their fight against Russian-backed separatists, according to Defence Minister Jason Kenney.

Canada has already sent around $66 million in night-vision goggles, cold weather gear and other non-lethal aid to Ukraine since the conflict broke out.

Kenney(Defence Minister ) said Canada is "pretty skeptical" of the ceasefire's success given Russian President Vladimir Putin's "unbroken record of violating the two previous ceasefire agreements and interfering in the most outrageous ways in Ukraine." That the Artic front has opened as expected, however I don't think that the Canadians People in their vast majority are aware of the implication of such an opening. I hope that they will enjoy the show, even if it's very cold and sometimes very dark there, but it looks to be what the can.gov wants... another vassal state. Confirms Russian Point of View.

Should canada continue to help Ukraina and what will Russia do to stop this support? Talk about saying that white is black. It amazes me (though does not surprise) how if a politician repeats that the sky is green, the general public will gradually start to believe him. Russia is not a part in the Ukrainian domestic conflict, so there is nothing for Putin to violate. The previous Minsk agreements were observed by the Novorossian Armed Forces (NAF), where they pulled their heavy machinery from the conflict zone, a fact used to the full by the Ukrainian army to regroup and pull in fresh supplies. Besides, it was Ukrainians that continued to kill civilians in Donetsk and Lugansk using artillery, despite the supposed "ceasefire". Russia (unlike US and Canada) sent in non-combat, humanitarian aid - 13 OCSE-inspected convoys worth several hundred thousand tonnes of food, medicines and replacement parts for the infrastructure, destroyed by the Ukrainian artillery. So who was violating what? Good, somebody should pay their debt. It's not even that. Ukrainian coup government is know to pocket the money by re-selling Western military supplies - both to NAF and to abroad: https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/breaking-kiev-junta-sells-us-weapons-to-syria/So if Canada does not have anything better to use taxpayer's money on, sure they should go on "helping". As for the question of what would Russia do. It depends on the scale of the Western intervention. In NATO continues to send the same kind of weapons as they did before, Russia will continue doing what it did before: nothing. If NATO misinterprets Russian non-confrontation for weakness and sends ground troops or more powerful weapons (nukes), then Russia will have to respond with military force, and the conflict will be over within a week (reference: Georgian invasion of South Ossetia in 2008 and Russian peacekeeping response)

Canada was one of the 3 countries (incl USA and Ukraine) to vote AGAINST the anti-Nazi U.N. resolution a few months back. That should tell you everything you need to know about Canada. Also, Israel has our undying support, Harper pledged Canada's support "no matter what", while Israel was threatening to nuke Iran. We are smaller and far less significant, but in many ways much more hawkish than our neighbours to the south.

I don't know if the terrorists will "attack" Canada (I hope not). Do you think it will be a sort of coalition between russia and the terrorists? No. It will be US-financed ISIS doing false flags in Canada to rally the sheeple. See: Paris. Russia does not really care about Canada, as everyone there knows that Canada will do as US tells it to, Russia's primary concern is US. I have two thoughts with regard to Ukraine and Canada: 1. Canada's "helping" Ukraine is akin to a pusher "helping" a drug addict by supplying him with stronger and stronger drugs, while saying that the addicts can pay later (IMF). 2. Canada and to a certain degree US is infected by the same kind of radical Ukro-nationalism as Ukraine itself. The reason for it is the large number of Galician emigrants, who got into positions of power and constitute a formidable lobby, pushing West-Ukrainian interests through the Canadian political system.

Message approved by: I wonder why your department would confirm an empty message. It seems that you should immediately inform your security staff about this issue. But I understand, it's a real PITA for maidummies that these convoys were inspected by the red cross, ukrainian military & OSCE, so... As the result, we have another stupid and irrational move. I suggest you to use panthenol before visiting thread for the next time.

One truck with supplies followed by numerous unmarked armored transports and tanks. Don't forget to thank Vladimir for his generous gesture. There's enough proof of Russian intervention in Ukraine, despite his pathetic attempts to mask it.

There's enough proof of Russian intervention in Ukraine, despite his pathetic attempts to mask it. I took the liberty to move the stamp of approval to a more appropriate paragraph. And, unlike EvilPanda, I will give some arguments in addition to the facts, provided by Balthazar in his post above. "There's enough proof" is a Ukrainian propaganda speak that stands for "we don't have any hard evidence and can't be bothered to make any half-bad forgeries (like the one that we gave to a US senator that made him furious), but believe our factless words and give us money, weapons and support, ok". So, EvilPanda, do show us that proof, and remember that extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence, so 4-5 cross-referenced satellite images and ground observations by OCSE would do for a start. Do you really think so little of your US masters - they have a multi-billion spy satellite systems that can read you license plate, yet there have been no images of even a single Russian tank that would be oh so easy to spot in the open landscapes of Donbass. If such evidence existed, it would have been on the front pages of all Western MSM for at least a week. But all that you have so far is the opposite: OSCE chief saw no Russian troops in Ukraine's east http://tass.ru/en/world/777423So, I ask you only once: give your hard proof of what you claim or be flagged as yet another clueless troll.

A Quick reminder to the North(er) American, THESE United States of America are actually under occupation, the like of real (ie not fucking idiotic MANAGERS) Carnegie, Morgan, Rockefeller, Ford and Co would have never allowed this to happen. The Land of the Free conquered, prostituted, exhibited for nothing, but printed piece of papers marked by $... thy home, thy land, thy children... for nothing. So We The People (aka those not cheating with the banker of the table) aren't responsible, even if we have been utterly betrayed by those pretending to be among the "forces", the exception confirmed what was foretold, 1 in a million... So dear North(er) American, sorry.
