Before I answer this question, I need the OP to explain to me exactly how the government will "regulate Bitcoin".
Same here , any explanation is highly appreciated . But to answer to your question @OP , then no . I won't use Bitcoin anymore if the Goverment have any kind of control on it. ~ Madness |

It's already "regulated". But there are so many other coins that aren't. And besides crypto-currency.. just think of all the other digital currency that is less regulated but still purchasable and salable such as secondlife linders. It's the wild wild West for digital currency right now.

Internet is regulated (more or less) and we are still using it.

At first the regulation would appear to be minimal, but it will have opened the door to endless control. I think i'd sell out at that point...the value would be gone (for me at least.)

Regulation for Bitcoin is a double edged sword. It will create stability and more acceptance but at the same time will surrender some of it privacy to governments.

Yes, and that regulation is needed as soon as possible, because there is no "next step" without it. All bitcoin exchange platforms must be transparent and closely monitored, because in this stage there will be much more so called "hacks", where all people say is : we got hacked and then they go with your money. By all means, regulate bitcoin, we tried without regulations, we failed .. |

Do you think now it is not regulated? What do you think cover under term 'regulate' Government do not have any official institution dedicated to control bitcoin, but I think they can pretty easily manipulate it even without it.
