Quote
Fascism is no longer a threat in Russia, Vitaly Portnikov says; rather, it is “an accomplished fact,” the result of a step by step process in which Vladimir Putin has realized that ignominious goal by destroying all democratic institutions, exploiting the grievances of the population, and increasingly using force abroad and at home.

Thus, it is time to stop speaking about fascism as a possibility in Russia as many, including most recently Anton Oleynik in “Vedomosti,” continue to do and to face up to the factnthat it is already in place -- and that the real question is what Russians and others now must do in response (rufabula.com/news/2015/02/15/fashist-state).

After the Crimean Anschluss, Russia’s part system was “finally liquidated,” and “United Russia, Just Russia, the KPRF and the LDPR can at any moment be united in some sort of National Socialist Workers Party of Russia. All of them will only be glad to do so,” something that makes a mockery of the Russian opposition’s complaints about electoral fraud.

The difference between the Russian fascist state, and America is, the people in America still have the opportunity to pull themselves out of it if they want. This opportunity may not last long. So, let's get moving.

This ^^.

Wake up and see that Putin has the ability on a moment's notice to enslave all of Russia almost any way that he wants. If he doesn't do it, it is only because he thinks that there is better benefit in doing things some other way.

Since one year ... nearly 500.000 foreign citizen left the Russia .. most of them was injecting money / work in Russia.

More and more people do not beleive anymore in "way of drive" Russia... corruption, propaganda ... and go to war of Russia.

Poutine claimed in 2 years, situation will go back to normal ... and no economic change for social economy ... how he can lie ... does he explained that he "stolen" the pention money for the crimea ?

Hard time for normal user in Russia ... and when no money & plate empty ... only nationalism and faschist win ! It will be always the fault of others .... and this is what we see actually in Russia !

Yes and you forget to add that all ouzbeks and low cost worker ... are leaving the country ... but of course russian do not want to work for this price  Grin

Russia will ask help to ? India to get cheap workers LoL Huh

C'mon ... the day that russia will be democratic, they won't need to show his powerfull strenght with weapons everrday  Roll Eyes

But of course ... Ukraina is bad one ...and you will explain to us that OSCE lie too ?

Quote from: OSCE
- Rebels in eastern Ukraine refused to allow monitors from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to reach the encircled town of Debaltseve after a ceasefire took effect on Sunday, the head of the OSCE mission said.

The rebels have said the ceasefire does not apply to Debaltseve, scene of the worst fighting in recent weeks.

Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe mission chief Ertugrul Apakan said in an online briefing that the truce which began at midnight was largely being observed across eastern Ukraine. But he said Debaltseve and the rebel stronghold of Luhansk were exceptions where shooting continued.

The puppet of poutine are really pathetic ... where is the peace ... the only thing they want is land and power ... as they are anyway all mafia mob !

During this time people die .... for ? Fill pockets of rich friends of Poutine and his mob band !

Russia is one of the worst governed countries in the word. Why? On one hand you have an incredibly high number of millionaires and very high army expenditure, on the other one of the lowest minimum wages in Europe (80€). Even Armenia and Kazakhstan can afford more. A country that enforces slave labor and gives nothing in return, while oligarchs are eating caviar deserves to fall into crysis. I hope Russians will finally realize that and stand up to their leaders.

Russia is not alone. Here's a few (older but still relevant) articles just regarding the USA. IMHO the world all over is becoming more fascist. Do a little research and I'm sure you'll agree.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/is-the-us-a-fascist-society-examining-the-existence-of-fascism-in-the-united-states/5377146
Quote
Friday, April 4th was the 46th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination.  Although King never claimed that the US was a fascist society, he certainly was struggling with the fundamental structure of US society by the end of his life.  In “Where do We Go from Here” (1967) for instance, King stated that

“ . . . more and more, we’ve got to begin to ask questions about the whole society . . .and you see, my friends, when you deal with this you begin to ask the question, ‘Who owns the oil?’ You begin to ask the question, ‘Who owns the iron ore?’ You begin to ask the question, ‘Why is it that people have to pay water bills in a world that’s two-thirds water?’”

Unsurprisingly, King’s opposition to racism, capitalism, and war placed a target on his life. The US government was found guilty of using its intelligence agencies to murder King in 1999.  The murder of King was part and parcel of the US government’s crackdown on the radical left, which is now imbedded in the legal framework of this country since the institution of the “War on Terror.”  King’s legacy should inspire us to dig deep into the roots of the type of society we live in and the type of society we want to live in.  George Jackson’s conclusion that the US indeed is a fascist society receives little attention from the US left. Further, this article could not possibly analyze in the detail deserved every element of the US ruling order. However, there is ample evidence that we should no longer be asking the question of whether fascism exists in this country, but rather, where do we go from here.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/sep/10/silent-military-coup-took-over-washington
Quote
Under the "weak" Obama, militarism has risen perhaps as never before. With not a single tank on the White House lawn, a military coup has taken place in Washington. In 2008, while his liberal devotees dried their eyes, Obama accepted the entire Pentagon of his predecessor, George Bush: its wars and war crimes. As the constitution is replaced by an emerging police state, those who destroyed Iraq with shock and awe, piled up the rubble in Afghanistan and reduced Libya to a Hobbesian nightmare, are ascendant across the US administration. Behind their beribboned facade, more former US soldiers are killing themselves than are dying on battlefields. Last year 6,500 veterans took their own lives. Put out more flags.

The historian Norman Pollack calls this "liberal fascism": "For goose-steppers substitute the seemingly more innocuous militarisation of the total culture. And for the bombastic leader, we have the reformer manqué, blithely at work, planning and executing assassination, smiling all the while." Every Tuesday the "humanitarian" Obama personally oversees a worldwide terror network of drones that "bugsplat" people, their rescuers and mourners. In the west's comfort zones, the first black leader of the land of slavery still feels good, as if his very existence represents a social advance, regardless of his trail of blood. This obeisance to a symbol has all but destroyed the US anti-war movement – Obama's singular achievement.

Quote
Describing the United States as an "advanced Third World country," longtime consumer advocate and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader calls for a new mass movement to challenge the power corporations have in Washington. "It is not too extreme to call our system of government now 'American fascism.' It’s the control of government by big business, which Franklin Delano Roosevelt defined in 1938 as fascism," Nader says. "We have the lowest minimum wage in the Western world. We have the greatest amount of consumer debt. We have the highest child poverty, the highest adult poverty, huge underemployment, a crumbling public works — but huge multi-billionaires and hugely profitable corporations.

America is fascist but not for the reasons you proffer. Fascism happens on the homefront while imperialism around the world is what you're alluding to abroad. Fascism is pretty much collusion between government and big business that has their interests being bought and dealt with at the highest levels of said government.

Ah, another article with targeted defamation/demonisation of Russia and its leader. How quaint.

Note that this happens every time Russia gets a leader who does not want to report to the Western powers. Note how well-praised by the West was the obedient Yeltsin, during whose reign Russia was robbed and plundered under the watchful eye of the American advisors.

For the interested in history, I can advise the following documentary:
http://stanislavs.org/black-myths-about-rus-from-ivan-the-formidable-until-our-time/

Putin is the best thing that could happen to Russia at the current stretch of its history and one of the best leaders since Yurij Andropov in the USSR era and Nikolai I or Paul I in the period of the Russian Empire.

Actually Western Europe doesn't want Russia to change as much as they don't want them to absorb territories and threaten their neighbors.
In the recent years there were sightings of Russian submarines near Sweden, and their bombers being intercepted by the British.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2015/01/29/382440318/british-fighters-escort-russian-bombers-near-u-k-airspace
Stop waving your sword Mr. Putin.

And Russia is actually not interested in absorbing new territories - it's the hysteria, warmed up in the Western MSM. If its historical territories want to come back under its wing, of their own volition, so be it. No one wants to take a cancer into its body, like USSR did, when Stalin annexed Galicia to Ukraine, against the opinion of his advisors.

The sub sightings in Sweden is nothing new. And, as before, this time also turned out to be "for the press".

Swedes even have a comedy film, using this as a sub-plot:  Grin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e75mNK3mXs

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”
