Hi i might be buying a 5 BTC coin.
I was wandering if anybody could give me a rough valuation of the coin?
Its a 2012 series 2 and appears to be in mint condition.
Whatcha think something like this would be worth today?

Thanks in advance  Grin

Well definitely more than 5BTC.

I'd say 2 If it isn't funded.

That's the beauty of an open market - as much as someone is willing to trade for it...

could be worth at least 6 btc, but well this is a free market so you could get a higher or lower prices depending on the seller

It's most likely to be less.

It really depends on the quality of the coin and if it has been handled or not. I sold a 5BTC graded MS-66 (Series 1) for 7.5 a few months back and the buyer got a good deal. If the coin is not in great shape then maybe 6-6.5. If you can get me a picture of the coin I can give you a better price for it.

Just look at the post from BlazedOut, he knows this market, and he gave sound advice

7 - 7.5 BTC is a ballpark cost for a series 2 5BTC coin, fully funded with 5 BTC. Plus or minus depending on condition and grading.

If its series 1, then add a little on as well

Redeemed coins, or the DIY coins that were never funded $100 is the right area, probably just a bit less (I have a bag if anyone wants any of the blank 5's)
