In two years, it will be much easier and less time consuming to answer the question, "where won't bitcoin be?"

Bitcoin will never be stable. The past week has been the only and the most stable week of its existence

I think that bitcoin should stabilise by then. The volatility is a big bane in driving adoption atm. Price stability should lead to more adoption of bitcoin and more adoption and limited supply, means that the price is bound to rise. I don't see the price going much beyond $500 though as the initial hype around bitcoin seems to have vanished already. Looks like all the speculators in bitcoin are already out of the game, which surprisingly, is a good thing for bitcoin. We need adopters and not speculators. I know that i will still have my small stash of 4 bitcoins, or maybe even more by then! I think it'll take a lot longer for bitcoin to stabilize than 2 years sadly. I think it's going to be a wild ride of jumps and crashes for the considerable future, though I hope at some point it will flatten out. I think it would do if we achieved its peak mainstream adoption but this could take a very long time if ever. One thing for sure is its going to be an exciting future to see what actually happens. I see BTC kinda stable in 2 years from now...It is possible.. as BTC is growing..n being adopted everywhere..

2 years is a perfect time for tons of things to happen. No one knows but systems like BTC naturally will get a positive outcome.
Bitcoin has what it takes to grow and be more adopted when the fiat system shows its weaknesses.

Very well said In Internet age 2 years are like 200 years before. So, if Bitcoin don't become mainstream in 2 years, globally accepted by average people and many merchants, i don't see future for bTC. Some other virtual currency will take the lead.

I honestly hope Bitcoin is around in 2 years. It took the Internet about 20 years or so, before the world wide web became a thing, and AOL and 56K modems and Yahoo finally took off. If we can stick around for 2 more, continue on an uptrend path, grow and mature on acceptance and adoption levels, then this very well could be gentlemen...

where will bitcoin be in 2 years?.... block 449517 That's a pretty good one but how exactly did you calculated the exact block ? one block every 10 min. So number of blocks calculated, then 2 years from now current block + calculated So seems you were some blocks less , since 2016 is a leap year

Altavista was a search engine, bad comparison. Bitcoin is both a Cryptocurrency and Protocol network. Maybe compare Appletalk or Novell NWLink IPX/SPX to it. Or say something like People won't be using bitcoin, like people don't use hashcash now. You have to make an apples to apples comparison, not just throw something out there for the hell of it.

I believe the ecosystem will have grown and matured by then. There will be insured exchanges that are far more trustworthy than today. I think 75% of the mining pools will have changed by then and there will be almost no mining for the regular customer anymore - it won't be profitable anymore! I think the price will be at $7000.

I used to think the exact same, yet with all the developments in crypto, I think it's not so certain anymore....
